  • It's just like Julian Assange asked in his most recent interview. Does America abide by the rule of law or not? Of course he knew and we know that it was just a rhetorical question he asked to point out our blatant hypocrisy - there is no "rule of law" or due process, etc. in regards to American foreign policy. Which is what happens when you're the world's lone military super-super-power. Laws are a formality when you're the highest authority.

  • Can you say terminate with extreme prejudice ?

You need to read about Judge Roy Bean again.

It is all qui bono, as long as law enforcement makes money off the legal system

you'll see the system continue to exist. Assassination sets an ugly precedent

that others may decide to apply it to any leadership they dislike.

Too bad Alberto Gonzales wasn't around to use his answers....GRIN

  • I am not surprised. Our country voted for one of the biggest champions of the Patriot Act (that would be Obama for anyone who didn't research Obama's voting record during his brief stint at senator). Their arrogance is escalating as they continue to wipe their butts with the bill of rights. Gubmint shackles have been broken and "the people" have allowed it. And, the people continue to worship these politicians. I agree with you. It is tragic that they don't prefer prosecution.

  • They don't even bother covering it up anymore. People have become so softened and/or desensitized to all of the on-goings that this has all become just another day about. Freaky!

    Peace my friend.

  • These guys don't even pretend any more. And no, you're not reading too much into it. It's as plain as day, for anybody who cares to see and hear.

  • It's so fundamental I can't even believe we're still talking about it.

  • @Capitalocracy I never cease to be amazed by what people don't care about. You listen to a Tea Party rally and you would think those people care deeply about their rights. Well, where are they?

  • great post Zach...

  • Ho Ho Ho Zach , Have a Great One =)

  • It seems pitious that the attorney general would avoid answering a direct question that has an obvious answer. So evasive. Slimy even. If there really is no preference, then essentially Holder & judiciary are useless. Given the mass of executive orders, I imagine that Congress is collapsing. So yes, that says we are headed for a one executive government with police & soldiers.

  • Good point. Looks like there are alot of domestic terrorists slipped into gov. roles. Not long ago I realized that courts could right the wrong laws, gotta go into it. But the bad ones want to destroy our gov. and be dictators or kings and queens. Little difference. And this vid makes me wonder if this is one of them who corporations are paying to destroy the law as well as our gov. Aren't corps guilty of assination when they sell poison to kill their customers? Have a great day.

  • The U.S. government has become an overt criminal enterprise in the last few decades.

And this admission by Holder proves it. It is lawlessness - and therefore criminal - on a huge scale.

  • Spot on Zach. It's pretty much normal now for the US to just kill people (w/ drones in Pakistanm. although the target (courtesy of the ISS) imight be political. Can't be helped (read sarcastically) iif a handful of civilians get killed along with 1 alleged terrorist/militant/"bad folks" (quote: Biden).

@robran53 -exactly. That's why bin Laden will never appear in court. Way too much embarrassment for the US gov. I wonder if all the targets in Pakistan are some kind of cleansing program.

  • @MiranUT Another point of concern is the perception of drone strikes by the enemy we are allegedly trying to win the hearts and minds of. The common perception (fairly accurate in my estimation) is that drone strikes are the actions of cowardly enemy which lacks the stomach for an honorable conflict on the field of battle. Factor in the large number of civilian casualties associated with these strikes, and a narrative of casual oppression is hard to avoid.

  • @FeelFreeToArgue - Yes. I've read the same. Interestingly, the latest also shows that the pilots (sitting in cubicles in Nevada) of the drones suffer from PTSD more than ground troops do.

  • We can't afford to have him captured. If he was water boarded he might give up his CIA handler.

  • obama, holder and Julian Assange are not American, Nothing top secret was told to the sheeple just news. you can tell who is being somewhat truthful when the truth will get you killed by the US government and there bosses, the banksters.

  • Is it bc this carries a precedence in stating that if law enforcement deems a person a 'concern', as Holder is quoted as saying he is, then anyone that 'they' may deem a concern could become a victim of state funded assassination over the less desirable and expensive court proceedings, trial lawyers and the like...how simply OBVIOUS!
