    Do you know the exact 寸 of the Jin dynasty in cm?

  • As far as I know, 寸 was based on the sizes of body parts. As people got healthier (and bigger) throughout history, 寸 got bigger. In Western Jin, 寸 was 2.42cm. In Eastern Jin, it was 2.45cm.

  • Some time ago I read in a calligraphy Website that lists the lengths used in different dynasties. They were different, even in different areas.
