The other superstar that came close to MJ's talent and athletic ability was Pippen and they were on the same team. That's why there was never a debate between MJ and other players. Kobe aint a killer of good/great defensive teams because he CONSISTENTLY DISAPPEARS against them.
When it comes to his 25 career 50+ pt games:
* 15 were against sub .500 teams (7 with less than 30 wins)
* 20 came AFTER the defensive rules changed
* only 6 were vs Top 10 defenses, and his combined FG% in those 6 games is only 45%; half of 'em he didn't even hit 50% of his shots, with the WORST one being 17-41 shooting (41%)
