I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.
I think the web is a tool for business and should be looked at as just that a tool. If we get back to the basic question "What do people want and need?". The answer right now for example would be a way to save themselves from the high cost of gasoline. Perhaps a variation of the old priceline business model would takeoff in this environment. How about a site that helps to create carpools? Find the need then use the internet as a potential tool for solving that need.
Arg... don't give in to the glitz and glamour of the technology, focus more on the problem you want to solve and take advantage of whatever technology is useful at the time (currently web 2.0 is an option). -- in short: buy "The World is Flat" and let the techies handle the implementation of your great idea. -- this infomercial is a waste of time.
consulting work and training seminars...one can also use 30 day free trials of web 2.0 products and learn skills and update their resumes in order to attract (Continued)...promotions or other job opportunities. I will be posting more specific examples to better explain. Excellent and very valid question. Thank you. - Frank

Tooomp,
I like your idea of web enabled carpooling. I had never thought of that. Thank you for posting the comment.

I look forward to the rest of this series. So far you have covered the history but not yet web 2 itself.
