  • Hi I have a 60" x 24" x 20" fish tank , and I need help with the substrate ? , how much kg of sand do I need for a 1" - 2" inch of substrate?

  • @diablogtrwill

Whatever the gallon amount of the tank is you would need that much weight in substrate to make an inch through out the tank. If you want two inches just double the weight. An inch and a half is one and a half times the weight. Remember the more substrate in the tank the more area to siphon when cleaning and possibly the higher the nitrates because of fecies. Good luck with your tank...

  • curious about your lighting.. I have a 125 african cichlid tank with inadequate lighting. Need some help.

  • @cruzpatrick67 I used 2 x 36" Coralife Lighting 96W. Its frequency is 6700k. Very bright and also very good for planted tanks.

These are however a little expensive, but there are lots of other alternatives nowadays. Cheapest being a do-it-yourself for under $60. Just try to get 6700k or even 10000k.

  • Your tank is absolutely beautiful, but the song is even more beautiful. Great video....

Something about the piano, just hypnotic..

  • nice tank. Good activity without alot of aggression. I subbed

  • Nice activity in your tank. I agree with others that you should lose the sponge filter. I think you have enough filtration already. It's an eyesore.

  • What kind of filtration system are you using? Are the sponge filters I see the only filter that you use?

  • 72 1/2 "?? inches??

  • Hi. Peace to you. What song is this? Very nice tank.

  • @YaHuWaHisHisName

    Artist: Dax Johnson

Song: A Moment in the Life...

Album: The Random and the Purpose

  • where are the plants?

  • Hehehe im the 7,777 viewer

  • @SpacialSpearWithIce I am surprised that there are so many views for my tank :) At this rate, its going to hit 10,000 easily

  • What are you using for your heater?

  • @Gixxr11 250W heater. Dont remember the brand name.

  • nice tank

  • @SmithRacing1999 thank you

  • hello i just got a new tank and hooked my rena xp3 up and its leaking from the sides where you hook the latches i haveno idea why helppp pleasee

  • What are the big silver fish with the red tails.

  • @bridges6566 They are called Tin Foil Barbs

  • Very nice aquarium! Thanks for the vid.

But you really shouild ditch the humongus, butt-ugly, sponge filter. Your eyes are drawn to it like a train wreck.

  • @coochie2u I will hide it behind the rocks next time :)

  • Thanks everyone for your positive comments. I am happy to hear that lots of people like my video.

  • Get tank!! I could watch for hours..

  • is that a golden tinfoil barb?

  • @mariogamecrazy Yes, some of them are

  • i find most fish over the size of a few inches really boring, id rather have a tank like this full of neon tetras

  • 5/5 love your tank , what kind of fish is that that looks like a pacu/shark???

  • yes, what piano song is this? its lovely. :)

  • @cupcakers5791 I think the song is a moment in the life of me by Dax Johnson

  • what is that piano beat and nice fish

  • Just ordered an Emperor 400 for my 35 gallon. Couldn't beat the price. $57 with free shipping.

  • Thats a good price :)

    I upgraded my filtration recently.

    Now I have:

    2 x FX5

    2 x Powerheads

    1 x Hydro Sponge V

Basically, I removed the Emperor 400s and Rena XP3 and then added an FX5 :)

  • I got rid of my Emperor same day it came, was horribly noisy. Picked up a Cascade 500 replacement. Which has been running like a champ since day 1 now.

  • @frigy2 So why did you remove the Emporo 400s? Im curious about getting either an Emperor 400 or a Penguin 350. My tank is a 55gallon freshwater. My current filter is waaaay too small for it. My water turns kinda yellowish, but tahts from my own personal neglect.

  • you got some crazy filtration for a 125 lol. i shouldnt talk im going to have 2 rena xp3's on my 55gal lol

  • haha! thats 700GPH for a 55G tank! thats certainly very nice :D

  • and lol forgot my two hob's that have 700 gph on them 2 so i will acually have 1400gph on my tank lol

  • thats almost what I have for my 125G! LOL

thats certainly overkill for a 55G (unless its really overstocked)

I'm working on a 75G planted community tank right now. stay tuned for a video around the end of this month (still collecting & ordering specimens :D)

  • Looks like the baby fish have grown up

  • about 9-10 fish tend to be cave dwellers, so they spend most of their time in that rock formation I created for them :)

  • 30 fish in that tank?

  • damn 38. i wasn't even close :P
