  • You should spend less time on how it works more time showing steps on how to assemble. Then you'd get more views no one wants to spend 20min watching someone talk about shit they don't care about they just want to see how its made. Make a step by step vid with a shorter time bacause I just skiped through most of this.

  • How are all those leads connected? Paralell? The welding wire on the big loop: it looks like it exits the end on which begins the insulation. Is that right? It then winds around the insulated loop and then deadends at the point where the the big loop loops back on itself. Is that correct? If I understand the big loop, it should work in ever locale, channels 3-12 being constant throughout the country.

  • @richgriffesq Yes for sure parallel, series would give you way to high ohms. You can make the big loop however you want, either slide over an insulator, or use insulated wire it won't affect the velocity of the wire much < 1-2%.the antenna should work in almost any locale, the low VHF is not that big of deal to target direct frequency range. For UHF the freq is higher and the wavelength is shorter, so your length becomes more important, which is why only one big loop and several small loops.

  • @richgriffesq if you are out on the fringes a log peroidic yagi would be best. Better than that would be stacked yagi's aka stacked beams. So yea man have fun just keep it resonant and keep it vertically polarized. If you want to do something similar go for it, its all depends on your location height what channels you want etc. You could have a bunch of vertical antennas or loops or yagis or dipoles or squares. doesn't matter just shoot a vid or post some pictures.
