  • My go kart is just like that go to my page and check it out...and its way better trust me

  • @BuilderDude15 good for fuckin you, attention whore.

  • @BuilderDude15 sure, but this go kart has suspention, also the guy who built this kart has upgraded it since this video. This video is almost three years old.

  • Can I buy the plans

  • Thats St Joes

  • @RollinRetards yes sir it is!

  • dumb comment

  • You bought the plans online for $30 I was on that sight today

  • @604cpr yes i did.

  • u do brake from the clutch right

  • this video was ok but the go kart is slow

  • @Raptureseeker1 k so watch my other movie where it goes 50km/h

  • I really like the sound it makes haha, cool stuff. :)

  • How fast does that 8hp honda go? i was thinkin of putting a 6.5 hp in mine...might be too slow?

  • @Bates106 well i had it up to about 50 on flat ground. take a look at my other video with the 8hp motor on it

  • try putting a jack shaft on ur 3 wheeler.it will give u more speed.but u will have to move ur brake to the other side of ur cart.

  • you should send me those plans

  • your shit sucks ass

  • @h0tpinkk8 yeah eh thats why i got a 98% in the class?

  • @240zguy240 try a slightly bigger frame and a 50 hp motor and your good lol jk nice job

  • you got an award for that

  • @2012borracho yep. and it wasnt just for the auto shop class it was for all the technology classes (wood shop etc.)

  • how much was the total cost for all the parts? not including the engine that belongs to the school

  • @dylanx300 it was around 600 bucks and then i got an engine for free from my uncle...you can see it in my other videos

  • @240zguy240 realy? how could you posibly have $600 in this? you got 30' 1 in box steel 3 wheels a couple gears.....

  • @dr00pydog68 have you built a go kart yourself?

  • Hey buddy! =) I really like your cart. Very very cool. And great work by the way. Thanks to T-man I now know about you and have seen your videos! Rock on dude and keep up the good work. Hope to talk soo. PEACE! (oh and I subbed!)

  • how do you have the sprocket conected to the wheel? i want to build one with my own plans but i wanna figure out an easy way to do so thnks

  • @smallenginemods it took me a while but i found a wheel that had a keyway in it so since the shaft is keyed and the wheel is kayed (the brake is too) its all connected.

  • I don`t know if you have considered it or not but a torque converter drive would give you more take off and top end, but, I know it cost more. I also built the personal tracked vehicle from the plans that you may have seen on here and I made alot of changes on it.

  • I just purchased the two seater plans, it has room for tons of improvements that I plan to make, only to make it easyer and cheaper, It`s easy to do when you have plans, I built one of my first karts 30 years ago with no plans at all by my self with a 350 motorcycle motor on it, to bad we didn`t have camcorders back then, I didn`t thank I would like the three wheeler but after seeing yours I like it, you did a good job...

  • Is that what is known as a "Scorpion"? I saw a website called Spider carts who sells a plan for a kart that looks just like that.

  • that would be the one...btw read the description..lol

  • Looking sweet.. Looking forward to see it with the Honda on it if your still planning that.. And a remark on the 98% I'm guessing it would be due to 100% being perfect, and as thermodynamic laws set it, nothing can withstand forever thus being imperfect =) So yea gj idd, keep it up!

  • thats really impressive. I wish i could do something like that at my own school.

  • whats stopping you dude?

  • not all school alow you to buil what you want, my school we fix lawn mowers and stuff like that

  • aww dude that blows...my schop teacher is really laid back as long as it has to do with engines/fixing stuff he lets you do it

  • @bobmamipoko - Same thing here. I did decide to do something about it however. I am currently building the frame for mine, its modeled after a Campagna T-Rex. Waiting on a 850cc engine for it. Its about 8 feet long, not sure of the width or height. Trying to find sheet metal right now to finish off so its not just a metal skeleton. Full suspension! I need the engine and a few other parts that go on the inside first before sheet metal body goes on though...

    BTW, nice video and Go-Kart!

  • nice i built a four wheel 8 horse tecumpseh

  • nice. looks good. steering wheel/seat looks a bit cramped

  • oh man your killing it. that thing is geared way higher. If you took that thing on a downward slope holy shit youd get about 50-60 mph. the only problem is the lack of tourque. let me know how it goes man!

  • GREAT JOB!!

    That thing is awesome.

  • sweet!!!!!

  • that thing is awesome !

  • That looks nice! im making one like that but with my designs

  • sweet man. just make sure you put things together before you weld it to see how its going to fit and everything. you should film it when your done and send me the link!

  • does in the instructions come with all the measurments?

  • they sure do. it shows you in a 3d image how long to make each piece and what angle to cut each end.

  • what i would do if it was mine is mount the engine like right over the rear tire and move the sat back to you have more leg room

  • a better idea would be to be more prepared and just make the front part of the frame longer? i think what i might do it build up a bumper type thing just so my feet dont get crushed if i hit something

  • I am buy ing the scorpion plans aswell, How much hp do you recomend?

  • Would you recommend the plans from spidercarts? I am considering purchasing a set (different design).

  • oh absolutely. they are probably the best way to make a go kart because it gives you lengths and angles for each piece you need. also it gives a list of the parts you need to buy and roughly how much they should cost. if you want to make one right it is well worth the money for the plans

  • hey my kart has the same wheels as you. im taking welding and a go kart would be a great project! Ive never actually built one before. im getting a project bike from my uncle for free but theres no welding required in that. if i dont build another kart for a welding class i may take, i may make my 3.5 hp briggs engine and weld it into a giant wheelable 4 stroke chainsaw/watermelon smasher!

  • In that hap...you made it :) Greetings!

  • 8 hp? Man .....that is strong engine for that construction. I think, then you need better transmision! I want to made something simillar!

    Good luck with your project!!!

  • lol yeah maybe but this already made me broke...im not looking to break any kind of speed record i just want something to ride around in.

  • Wow congratz on makeing one

  • Congrats on the Scorpion! This is Rob from Spidercarts. Good job!

  • thanks...i was really disappointed with the engines performance but since it was borrowed i couldnt complain much. i am getting an 8hp honda ready to be used fairly soon

  • luv dqa design man, peace

  • That's pretty damn good. My question is.... where is tims?... wasnt he in your class? :P

  • tim is a special guy and got to work with the special kids...they pretty much just took apart junked cars the whole year

  • im getting a push go-kart tomorrow morn for €200

  • What was the total cost, Because i am thinking about ordering the plans for the 'tarantula' from Spidercarts and i want to know an estimate of the total price and i figure this would be about the same cost.

  • i haven't calculated the total cost yet and I got a lot of the parts for free like the engine so without and engine you would be looking at around $500 Canadian

  • so a bit less in American, thanks!

  • in the plans it gives a parts list with an engine included in the price, its just over $1000 us but that includes a hydraulic brake and other more expensive parts.

  • ok, thanks a lot man!

  • no problem good luck!!

  • sick go-kart its almost like a t-rex bike, the only part you need for more speed is no$

  • that looks fun, you did a great job....I also might add that when you get that 8 hp you might also go for a little larger rear tire, more hp/cc + larger rear tires = more speed , OR you could go with a COMET centrifigal clutch/ torque converter on it too...more hp/cc + cen. clutch + larger rear tire = awesome take off and speed...its up to you

  • thanks for the input man...i dont think i'll go with a larger tire in the back because a already had clearance issues with the tire hitting the motor but i'll see what happens when i modify the frame.

  • that is too cool

invite me over durin the summer :D

  • yoo, thts so sikk man, u gotta help me make one during summer, haha
