um you can rest your palm and play without the capo with the chords a,e,f#minor,d

Very true..

but i play in pw band at church and theres two reasons i play with a capo.

#1. Theres another 1-2 guitars.. each playing the same thing (the electric usually does riffs (or powerchords), and the other one plays the chords). I do it with a capo to give it a different feel.

#2. Its always easier to play in G, im able to look at the people and not worry about the F#m comin from E. (when ur infront of ppl u wanna be sure not to make mistakes) :)
