the thing about these kinda games/movies is our modern weapons are built to kill humans and earthly animals. mythical creatures, aliens, etc need to be killed the old fashioned way, with a goddamn sword n shield or battleaxe! do you know how tough the hides of a basilisk or anything of that nature is? not to mention werewolves n shit. silver bullets dude. were this to ever happen, humanity would be fucked.

The concept for this game is awesome, and how it's made is great too(graphics and the world around you), but the controls were bad, which made it into just an average fps game. Hopefully, if there is ever a second game in the series, all that will be fixed.

I thought the concept was awesome but the way they preform it was horrible. For example, when fighting the werewolves why the hell does every one of my allies have to die? ALL THE FUCKIN TIME? The creatures you have to launch fuckin nukes at them to die.... even on easy.

Even without playing this game I can already tell that it lacks the feel that classic RPG or action game of PS1 or even SEGA and NES had in them. Game was REALLY, like REALLY fucking shitty for the first 3 levels after that, the game was beautiful, you get these kick-ass guns, scripted sequences are great, battles get REALLY fucking intense, multiplayer was great and fast-paced but you could never find anyone to play it :( To be honest, they should have done better with the first 3 levels, they made me REALLY disappointed, but, yeah they could have used a different engine, cause Unreal Engine 2 has the WORST game renders EVER! sad face :(

I agree, the gameplay just sucked. the controls were stiff and you couldn't jump over a 2 foot box, the game play was retro and extremely liniar and repetative, and the alleid NPC's just kept dieing no matter what. you could help them and they'll eventually find someway to get themselves killed within 5 seconds. and the fact that they keep coming back just makes the dinamics of the game very dull. the story and idea of the game were great though. the gameplay however, not so much...
