the master! Derren Brown, amazing. I'll watch him over Criss angel any day. David Blaine is ok with his sleight of hand stuff. His other stuff like sitting in a block of ice for days or whatever, you can keep those. But he's good with cards, and coins, and does a decent Balducci(sp?) levitation.

But I love Derren's use of sybolism and NLP, it's brilliant. Plus I love how he tells you how he does it, well most of the time.

so all around 20 seconds he puts his hand up high and it looks like a giraffe and says theyll stop at various SPOTS along the way while marking spots with his hand up his arm which is supposed to be a giraffe. he also says he "hasnt told [her] what [shes] going to be doing at all, but pronounces it "a TALL" because giraffes are tall. then when they proceed to look around the store he asks her if "giraffe a favourite toy when you were little?"

there are giraffe patterns all over the place...he even stays to lean at some of them, he also marks the soft toys with a pause and gesture as he walks by them. 1:04, 1:09 giraffes all over the dollhouse, 1.16 giraffe pattern, 1,23 pattern again.

Hand gesture for spots and giraffe head, saying giraffe instead of you had a...marking words such as tall.

I'm being serious now... about 20 mins before the show even started, derren's voice popped into my head and he was saying something about a giraffe. And then I thought, I bet this show's got something to do with a giraffe (the 'not being able to stand up' bit - not this part), because of the myth about a giraffe not being able to lie down because if it does, it can't stand back up again. Does anyone know how he did that or am I psychic?

The way he knew she was thinking of Vicki is because she make a bit of a "v" lip movement (he actually asys "you've got a lip...V, is it Vicki?"). Of course he can't read minds, but he's very good at picking up subconcious body movements.

You can see the K sound in the throat, which eliminates all the V-names you came up with "off the top of your head." If you knew it was a female name that started with V and had a K sound, what would you guess? Vicky/Victoria. It's not that intense.
