is that the losi 1/10 or 1/18 and whenever i watch rock crawler vids i only see them climbing rocks....lol i want to see them go full throttle on a straight away to see how fast they are as a car so maybe you could make a vid like that so thank, jake
rock crawlers are awesome, especially the mrc, keep it up losi. i want to see someone comeout with a 1/5, 1/4 scale huge crawler; that would be pree sweet
Do that! I got one and pimped it with $ 0. Made some things myself and it runs great. Oh yeah, most people think it is really small but it is actually quite big. ^^
Hard choice you are faced with. Save and get both. Really depends on what you do the most. Rock crawl of high speed stuff. I could decide so I bought a Revo and an Axial.
No, But that is what they are selling for. I was shocked at first. The $239 for the Axial ARTR model seemed steep but I soon got over it once I finished assembly and started crawling.
CG is too high. I moved the battery to the top of the rear axle, added tons of weights to the front tires and on top of the servo, removed the coil spacers and it flexes and holds the ground much better.
Now the servo only lasted 2 weeks before the gears stripped out. I spent $50 and upgraded to a Hitec mini digital with metal gears and an aluminium arm and so far it's working realy good.
Looks really nice, my wife put one on lay away for me today, I cant get it untill xmas, wich sucks, But I am starting to build my rock course now. Cant wait..
Wow, so only .5oz on each side of the back axle and you noticed a big different in allowing it to articulate? I was thinking it would need AT LEAST an oz on each side.
Do you feel 2oz on each side in the front would be too much? What made you decide to stop at 1.5oz?
I think 2oz in the front would be fine. The casting on the back side of the wheel splits it into 6 sections so I put a .25 oz of stick on weight in each section totaling 1.5oz. I do plan to add more in the future.
How come during the period right after 1:00 the left back tire isnt dropping down onto the chair seat? It's almost like the crawler has no flex at all and is really stiff. If it wasnt so stiff it wouldnt have been near so tippy there.
I actually has about 5in of articulation stock and feels pretty soft. But it is also very light so their is not a lot of weight to force the suspension to flex. I have since added 1oz of weight to the rear and it has helped alot. I only had weight in the front in the vid. So far I have added 4oz of weight total to the truck and it weighs in rtr at 2lb 5oz.
bad ass dude

How is your weight distributed? I was thinking of doing 2 oz in each front wheel and 1 oz in each back wheel.
I dont get mind until Friday, stupid UPS :)
Mezico 3 years ago
1.5oz in each front wheel, .5oz mounted on each side of the axle in the rear.
TLTRyanGA 3 years ago

kulangflow 3 years ago
Thanks. I'm still surprised at how capable this little truck is.
TLTRyanGA 3 years ago
Me too. Mine is pretty killer. Have you done any mods yet?
kulangflow 3 years ago
Added weight to the front wheels, moved battery on top of the servo, limited the articulation. It works really well with a few small improvements.

WOW I'm convinced!!!! Fuck the Duratrax
