  • bloody goosebumps from about 1:30 on, so good. Gets right into your spine!

    Impressive re-imagining.

  • I watched a few random episodes of galactica a few years ago I didn't understand what on earth it was about and I labelled it as ''shit series''. only after watching the pilot movie (which was awesome) and subsequent episodes did I get drawn in... now after having seen the cliffhanger episode of season 3 I've labelled this series one of the best sci-fi works ever created

thx for uploading the song :)

  • So say we all!

  • Unless you're a science-fiction freak, this is the worst version ever recorded....

  • This is the best version of this song ever

  • fracking sitars, motherfrakker

  • It's in the fracking ship!!!!!!!

  • i thought the dubstep version sucked ass

  • Original is still better

  • what kindof nerdy asshole would butcher this song.

    thats right im back.

  • @igg73 lol, and bye the outbreak of replies you can see how much everybody cares xD just stumbled upon this and i thought it to be hillarious

  • I'm now activated.

  • This whole scene at the end of the third season was just too freakin' awesome to comprehend. Mindfuck all the way... :D

  • guys, i'm watching BSG on dvd at the mo, currently halfway through season 3 and wishing i hadn't read the comments on here because some of you have given away what happens. please think about what you post! love love love battlestar galactica and really like this song, don't think you can compare it with the dylan or hendrix versions because the style is very different.

  • I sqweed like a little girl after hearing Tigh, Tyrol, Foster and Anders confusingly sing the first verse.

  • Wouldnt be anything without the original. I really do wonder what dylan meant to convey through these lyrics. Or did he just piece together phrases that sounded relevant but were actually meaningless. A lot of us do that

  • @BoldMoldOfGold I thought that jimi hendrix wrote this?

  • @ghslax17 no mate jimi hendrix covered this. it was originlly written by bob dylan

  • I know where Earth is.. I'm going to take us there

  • This..this is so intense..

This song is a near religious experience. You can feel the passion oozing through the speakers.

  • That instrument at about 1:31 that comes in, is just mysterious and adds to the song. with the guitar at 2:00 is just wowz, dylans and hendrix's is great, but this version when seen in battlestar is just wowz. they are all good, but for different experiences.

  • Great song. It doesn't try to be Hendrix, completely different vibe to it. Dylan and Hendrix can't be compared to Bear Mccreary's song as they are so different. All are good in their own way. I have to say my favourite is Bear's though.

  • This is by far my favorite version of this song.

  • wow this is kickass

  • I am obsessed with this song. At first I though it was kind of cheesy when you hear the four start saying some of the lyrics but when Starbuck shows up again and they play the full thing, my mind was blown. I think I may like this a little more than Dylan's version. The eastern feel to it is strange but beautiful

  • Just shut up and listen to the music...it's good.

  • I think the people who have watched Battlestar Galactica appreciate this song the most.

'Face it, we are Cylons, and we have been all along..'

'I've been to earth, and I know where it is.'

    So awesome.

  • For gods sake.. great lyrics but the damn weird back ground stuff is just plain weird...

im sorry to all those who like this song but i think hendrix really did this song the justice it deserved.

  • all the motherfuckers who says this song is bad and think its jimmis song , you FUCKING FAGGOTS ITS THE ORIGINAL AND ITS THE BEST

  • This isn't that bad. Not until about 2:15. Not something I would listen to on a regular basis though. Hendrix has the best version.

  • Doom, listen not, to these culturally deprived fools. Clearly they do not embrace IDIC.

    Long live Kara Thrace!

  • buuuuuu not good the only one who does a good cover is Hendrix

  • This version was composed by Bear McCreary and performed by Bt4

  • I like this version better than Hendrix's, but not as good as Dylan's.

  • You, my friend, are going to get your ass kicked

  • @doombringer117 i recommend michael hedges version, its pretty sweet

  • @morbo8888 You should die.

  • @morbo8888 What is overrated about Jimi Hendrix?! You have a horrible taste in music.

  • @morbo8888 I was thinking the same thing.

  • @morbo8888 whats wrong with you

  • @morbo8888 ur a stupid peice of shit

  • Love this song.

  • when this song started at the end of season 3 i got goose bumps hahaha

  • Bob Dylan and Jimmy's version are much better musically :)

  • Yet Caprica will save us from our unholy unrest known as 'life'.

  • @AirDragoNz Caprica turned out to be a pretty bad show.

  • Battlestar Galactica is over... *Sniffles*

  • They used this song so well at the end of the 3rd season. I don't particularly like this version over Bob Dylan's but it fits perfectly into the series so i can't complain.

  • I thought this cover on battlestar galactica was so awesome.

  • Quiet fool, you don't know what you talk about

  • Then how about you? What type of person goes through the trouble of looking up a song, going on it only to bash it, saying how much it sucks ass? If you don't like it, then don't listen to it

  • FINALLY someone other than me comes up with that point

  • It is just breathtaking. Brilliant.

  • The original was Bob Dylan's, Hendrix did a remake or cover of the song or whatever you kids call it these days

  • I agree. I love and appreciate the original very much, but this version is -- if not better -- at least as good as Dylan's work. It's more predatory and unsettling.

  • Bear Mcreary does this version :)

  • Bring on Caprica. Just hope it gives some insights into the questions left unanswered at the end of BSG

  • I have to say I love the background music throughout the song, but the actual vocals, while not bad, just seem off to me. I prefer the Hendrix version of this song. But this version isn't terrible, just odd.

  • I agree. I like the voice and I think it's good but Hendrix does it a lot better. I like the way this one sounds, builds up more tension and whatnot

  • i don't really like this version. the version hendrix version used in the end episode was THE best *drools* So long BSG!!

  • Never heard tis song until BSG. So for me this is the best version, although having now heard the other versions I like them as well.

  • SO SAY WE ALL!!!

  • Sorry you cant comprehend the awesomeness of the ending. I guess the show is just for smart people ^^

  • Yeah!, dont get people who feel let down by the ending given "all of this has happened before and all of it will happen again" and "life here began out there"

    Awesome ending

  • I don't know if i's for smart people but it's an awesome ending really great

ANd this song too thanks for uploading

  • @doombringer117 true story. Never saw such an epic an geniues ending for a series, not even 24 was as great as bsg. i'm realy sad the Series is over :(

  • @doombringer117 I completely agree, I watcher the entire BSG new series in a matter of weeks (Bought the box set) after having never watched it before, and was thinking meh, its alright but nothing real special up until the last season, where I went from Meh, to holy shit, this is the best sci fi season I've ever seen.

The ending was fraking amazing. Loved it.

  • Frak it's over!!! :(

  • Frak, it's over !

  • what the frak !!

  • Original was actually by Bob Dylan, not Hendrix

  • i think this song is absolutely perfect for battlestar galactica and the revealing of the final five....ah...I LOVE BATTLESTAR GALACTICA!

  • the song is performed by Bear McCreary

  • who sings this??

  • The composer's brother, apparently.

  • composed by bear mcreary performed by Bt4.

  • ein klasse song, der in einer super serie zum passenden moment eingebaut wurde. hatte gänsehaut beim schaun.

  • Muy buena musica.

  • wtf

  • I just noticed my cd gets messed up near the end. Whoops XD

  • I love the sitar in this...just got done watching Crossroads 2...i wish season 4 was released to the public....
