  • I totally get what she was saying about her being two different people... I struggle to fight my inner demons everyday. :/

  • Society is really crumbling fast :/

  • *sniffs* she was only ten poor little kid!

  • poorer countries may be sick in health but we are sick in mind

  • @soulstargy Too true.

  • @soulstargy

    Stupid.

  • I have all those signs

  • This is sick... When I was nine I tried to starve myself, and I still struggle with my self-image... I'm sick and tired of the constant pressure to be perfect...

  • @AnnaPhantasmal I know exactly what you mean, and I feel exactly the same way.

  • Im 14 and i weigh 85 lb's........but i have always been pretty light for my age and height. Im 4'8 so im not underweight. Dang why are kids getting so obsessed with their weight! They shouldnt have to worry about anything like that! Its sad.....

  • wow this is SO sad. im glad she got better.

  • Remuda Ranch.... I think that's the name of the place my friend went when she was extremely young....

  • im as skinny as the girl was and its natural for me

  • I'm almost that tiny, but I have buff or broad shoulders.

Thanks for bringing this subject up.

  • If someone was nine and weighed 65 pounds is that good???

  • @Puppypaws2010 that's about how much I weighed, but I'm really short.

  • @dizzlefish29, unless you are extremely short, that's a very unhealthy wieght. Maybe you just have a high metabolism, but you should talk to your docter

  • @dizzlefizzle9 I would speak to your doctor 14 and 79 pounds is may underweight. I'm almost positive your anorexic, even if you don't purge your food

  • i dont like my shape i am not anorexic i`m to skinny i wanna be curvy

  • soi what is it kids are too fat or are the becoming too thin (anorexic)

  • When I was 11, I was 40 lbs not 80! What a fatty! I'm 14 now and I'm only 79 lbs.

  • @dizzlefizzle9 I am 15 and 118. You seem like an anorexic. /:

  • @dizzlefizzle9 it depends on you're hight and muscle mass also. don't be so judgemental. muscle weighs more than fat, and she was a gymnast.

  • 1:44 looks exactly like my friends little sister!

but she eats ALOT shes just so bitty!shes really tall for her age and SUPER skinny!

and shes 11 and is already a b cup!! soon as she grows into her face, shes gonna be a knockout!

    ....lucky little bitch

  • this has happened to me, but i was able to stop before it got out of hand. i really hope for the best for anyone who suffers this way :(

  • jesus there are people dying of starvation in africa!!!sick!!

  • if she's anorexic then 3/4 of my class have an anorexia

  • @KolorowyLizakk Well she is.

  • hey , you gotta do what you gotta do to survive in this world.

you cant call them stupid when being fat will only cause you teasing and loneliness in school. who really wants that ? I with picked on for being a skinny guy though.

  • im so sick of this country! In many parts of the world women with curves are appricated and loved. Old primative figures of fertility goddess were always fulll figured because then that means u have enuf fat to sustain and nourish a baby. This country is so based on what u look like and not who u are as a human being, it is so pathitic that this is what we have come too!

  • @sandyski100 I totally agree. The minute I turn 18 will be the greatest day of my life because I intend to move away from here for good. I can't stand it. Self-image is somewhat important. I mean, you gotta take care of yourself. But the fact that kids are starving themselves....that shows that we have a serious problem.

  • @violettay I salute you. I totally agree with this.

  • @sandyski100 it's all over the western world where woman DO want to be skinny! the saddest thing is that most of those girls and woman are those who are both fit and beautiful! it's just the society all western people live in...

  • @sandyski100 I know. This disease does NOT exist in 3rd world countries...if anything women are pressured TO weigh more. I remember that whenever I'd go to my friend's house, who's parents were originally from Africa, her mom would always shake her head at how skinny I was...and I weighed 120 haha and I was 5"4. I rather live in a culture like that to be honest....mainly because their food is so damn good.

  • @kurtywurty85 I'm so glad (being sarcastic just so you can keep up) that u think that this disease is at all humerous, just shows how STUPID (an just 4 u i am giving the definition of stupid which is not sensible or intelligent)! Well that sounds just like you; how does it feel? People with eating disorders, and yes they r getting younger and younger, how many kids have you called fat, made fun of,plz text me back i'd realy like to know! and eating disorders r a mental decease, also the rule of 3!

  • What is with ALL the lame enabling parents ??? It seems like the same theme with all those that suffer from this. All I want is a salad ? Well, guess what, you are not getting another salad ! It is up to the parents...whether the kids are fatties or like this.

  • O snap!!! I'm 12 and I think I have it I was 120 pounds and I stopes eating as much and now I'm 95 pounds buht my doctor says it's healthy and I'm ok Now before I hateva eating disorder buht I think I'm ok now and yes my personality did cchange from nice to thaht bitchy mood!!

  • THIS IS TERRIBLE. i had it when i was 12-13

  • uh oh baaaaaad

  • It is happening younger and younger.. I don't know why the doctors are calling it this now. I have never heard this term before. No matter the age it is still a HUGE issue. The younger it starts the harder it is to get over. My eating disorder started when I was a "tween" and I still deal with it now.

  • wow everyone is getting worked up on the name?? it just means tweens with anorexia! it's nothing to get worked up about and its not cute... i would know because i have it so stfu about what doctors and reporters are calling it

  • I've dealt with eating disorders for about 7 1/2 years and would never wish it on anyone. I feel so much empathy for anyone struggling, regardless of age, and it breaks my heart that people are struggling at younger and younger ages these days.

  • @mangogirl805 I'm so sorry you went through that. :( Same here. Even kids younger than 8-9 years old are suffering now. We have to do SOMETHING.

  • @violettay Thank you so much:) Keep fighting, and I wish you had never had to deal with it, either.

  • "Tweenorexia?" What an obnoxious coinage. It's anorexia, and it's serious. Don't make it cutesy.

  • @spershall Like I've said several times, that's what they called it in the video, that's what the doctors are calling it. If you have an issue with the DOCTORS and NEWS REPORTERS calling it that, then let 'em know! I have nothing to do with it and I'm sick and tired of these obnoxious comments all the time...

  • Sounds like she had that and Bulimia Nerviosa. Excessive workouts

  • die arme

  • holy shit i went to remuda and made a mask

  • i am 13 bout 2 be 14 and i weigh 90 pounds but i think i just have a fast metabolism b/c my mom is small 2 she is 36 and she is still like a size 4

  • I have all the signs no one sees it but me.

  • Everyone at my school calls me fat. im 10. i weigh 180 pounds. im not supposed to weigh that much. i need help. im become into an anorexic. ...

  • When I was 10 I was 40lbs.

  • Don't worry about copyright infringement, when it comes to the news, after 24 hours it's fair game. At least that's how it is with articles, I think the same goes for video too. [rant] The news is irritating, though. Did you notice the way they gave an exact statistic for how many 10 Y/Os are afraid of getting fat, and then said "*many* see dieting..." like it was just as factual? It doesn't mean 85% of ten year olds are dieting, but that's thefear-based ratings bullshit they throw in.[/rant]

  • That's good to know. And yeah, I noticed that. I thought that was a little weird. The news is really not accurate sometimes.

  • im 75 pounds but i eat a lot and i whant to get fatter!

  • how old are you? if you're younger than 14 it could just be you still have a childs body.. children usually have a high metabolism. And a lot of adults do too.. i used to be a tooth pick but now im average weight.. I'm 17 now

  • I have all of these eating disorder signs... uh oh

  • Well, whether you may have this or not, just remember that everyone has something beautiful about themselves, yourself included. And that you don't have to look a certain way to be beautiful, it's what's in the heart. :)

  • when i was 10 i was afraid of becoming fat ... i don't see that as strange ... it wasn't on my mind all the time, but if someone asked me if i was i would have said yes!

  • This is fucked up sensationalist shit. "tweenorexia" is offensive...

I agree with the advice at the end. But it scares me.

Anyway it's not the parents' fault, really. And I hope Shea is doing well. And I hope the momentum picks up and that 60% that's clued in that this is a problem gets stronger, and more vocal, and we get the education and protection we need so that children do not begin this path...at any age.

  • I agree with that. I think schools have a big influence on it, for some reason. I mean, not saying that being encouraged to eat healthy & exercise is bad, but the schools use it so much that even I feel fat sometimes...and I'm on a swim team!

Sorry that the 'tweenorexia' thing is offensive, but that's what their calling it.

  • Y would parents let there child get like this?

  • You think the parents let their children get like this?

  • @donnielover1 it's not something parents can really control. even getting them into a hospital and all those sorta of things can only do so much. it is scary for family members because it's really in the hand of the child. With support they can try to overcome it, but they really have to want to get better. Noone can make someone better.

  • whats with the scratching sounds in the background--ow.

and agreed with arielxcore, its anorexia i dont see a need to give it any other name--a pile of dung by any name would still smell as foul.

  • As I said below, it's what it's called in the video, I'm keeping it that way.

As for the scratches, idk what that is, I got this video from a friend. You can ask him.

  • ed.....how original..

  • Comment removed

  • Feel free to suggest an alternative.

  • tweenorexia?

its anorexia, dont give it a quirky name.

  • That's what the file my friend gave me was called, and what they called it in the news segment, hun.

  • 'tweens' are what 10,11,12 and 13 year olds are sometimes called, its like baby teenagers, so by calling it tweenorexia it just means that it's anorexia in younger children

  • amen.

  • thankyou!

  • I agree.

  • hey this is kansas news i am from kansas 2

  • LOL. I'm actually from Missouri, a friend sent it to me. :)

  • This report is so sad. It's great she's overcome it!

It pisses me off the way they're so much emphasis on not eating too much. But, hardly any word on how eating too little is also damaging to your health. Not good for young children.
