    yes i am!

listen, bitch. i can go over there and bang your sister now shut up and grab me a beer!

  • 00:37 FAIL hahahahahahaa xDDD

  • My piont is the actual animal is always much more intresting then their reputation.

  • The spotted hyena is the only exception to the Mid-eastern hyena reputation. 95% of the things they eat, they had killed. They can live in packs of 5 -90 and prefer to hunt mid- large prey, and have high verity ( from pythons- to small elaphants) to what they will hunt. Their social behavoir among pack is comparable to that of primates, and when they encounter larger preditors over territory or food they are more likely to stand thier ground than their cuzins.

  • There are four species of hyena: the aardwolf are insectavoirs and live in south America. The brown hyena is second smallest, more of a loner and dosen't work well with another so it is esair to scavenge, and hunt small animals. The spripped is second largest, live in packs of 2-7, and is primary a scvenger. When the brown and striped hyena encounter lager preditors they play dead ( though stripes will go toe to toe against a wolves in almost a heartbeat).

  • I hate hyenas.

  • I feel the leopard's pain. I hate when I order some take out for dinner and just as I'm arriving home, some little punk hyena sneaks up and steals my food.

  • the guy who is narrating the video calls the hyena an opportunist, I call them scavengers, opportunist is a nice word for a scavenger, nasty hyena

  • Hehe, hyenas mostly just runs off when seeing a big wild cat. Depends whuch type.

  • woahhhh what a dayyyyy

  • @TheTudiscoKid Yes the average is 75cm, but the largest spotted hyenas can be around 90cm at the shoulder

  • Be funny if in the end the branch broke.

  • omg that was awesome when leapord took deer!!!

  • @necros234necros345

    deer?? that was impalas

  • big cats are amazing.

hyenas are just losers. stupid scavengers...

  • @haiba9 are hyena a big cat?

  • @giaco87cis

No. Hyenas belong to Family Hyaenidae.

  • @haiba9 are hyena a big cat?

  • NationalGeographic my msn in profile! Big Cats: Leopard vs. Hyena and Lion

  • hyenas are the niggas of the jungle.

  • you guys are saying hyenas are cowards? and douchbages. well you how many animals do you kno that is a rival with the lion, thats right no one is cuz there to sscared, if 1 lion took on 2 or maybe even 3 hyenas the lion would win. but hyenas are the only animal with enough cuts to rival the lions so think twice before you call them cowards

  • I actually heard that Hyenas are closely related to cats rather than dogs. I read it in my wildlife fact file book

  • He Stole My Kill!?!... w*nker

  • Vote: END COMMERCIAL AT THE BEGINNING!!!!

  • The narrator's wack

  • so bullshit hyenas dont have the stronges jaws of mammals

lions and tigers have mor powerfull jaws like hyenas

  • @Ariolserifi tigers are considered to have about the same strength, both ranging around 1000-1600 lbs of force, while lions only have about 700lbs of force. Hyenas have very strong jaws. i can understand how deceiving they can look, but hyenas are very strong animals, though jackasses too.

  • @Ariolserifi nope search it up

  • Hahah He got jacked...lol

  • Damn those hyenas- earn your own damn food.

  • Comment removed

  • Hyenas suck all they do is feed off of bigger animals waste.

  • Hyenas dont do shit but feed of of Bigger animals waste.

  • Hyenas have courage like no other animal in Africa.

  • the voice of the guy is not adequate

  • Comment removed

  • Poor leopard. He's like "Oh for the love of hell. Come ON!"

  • at 0:40 th guy needs to chill out like

  • Leopard only won the hyena because the impala horn stuck in tree

  • haha the lioness is a fat ass... she didnt deserve it anyways... =P

  • Hahaha the leopard got trolled

  • actually the lioness catches most of the prays of the pride

  • As the lion gos back down the tree the leopard was like. " Lose wieght! You wide bitch!" HAHAHA jk.

  • @kayruul

Don't forget to add that cats cannot survive in the wild without meat. They are natural predators. Humans, on the other hand... Groan.

When the leopard couldn't find a branch to strew his giant dead impala over, it made me laugh, because it so resembled Weekend at Bernie's or something.

  • That leopard is small, so its probably about 3 years old. Hyenas and lions aren't really scavengers. They're pretty awesome, but will take a free meal any day. Its how things are. Leopards would steal from a cheetah or other animal, if it had the chance, so they just have to hope they aren't near any animals bigger than them when they make a kill. I've never seen a lioness climb that high in a tree before, just freakin wow!

  • @djking2d Lions catch prey, although Hyenas ARE scavengers. Look it up.

  • @Christie761 All predators in Africa will scavenge for food because its easier, but Hyenas are not exclusive scavengers. Hyenas have stronger jaws than lions. Look it up.

  • @djking2d This is true. Also, as you stated, hyenas are seen less and less as scavengers. Lions actually scavenge off of hyenas more than hyenas scavenge off of others.

  • @Christie761 Click on the video to the right labeled "Hyenas on the Hunt." Some scavengers. I'm a Bio major with a concentration in Organismal Biology and Ecology. I think I know what I'm talking about.

  • that makes me lol

  • lol i find adult lions who falls, very cute lol. They look so silly XD

  • This guy's voice is so gay.

  • yay leopard get's meal :D

  • there are sooo many lion haters out there, what the fuck are you haters retarded?..

  • @sangafish I know man, so many people cheer against the lions.

It's stupid people are like "aww poor zebra, stupid sick lion murdered it!"

What so lions are evil because they kill for their food? If the haters eat meat themselves they have no excuse for hating animals that kill for food.

  • @sangafish no you are

  • That was funny. Good for the Leopard.

  • lions are scavengers...

  • i <3 cheetahs. they're the fastest hunters and yet these lazy hyenas steal their prey, so sad :(

  • @amrishh09 they are the hard working middle class of the jungle ;P

  • haha :D

  • LEOPARD, not cheetah

  • i meant the Cheetah is the hard working cat because almot any one can tel its kill ive seen docs of Baboons stealing its kills; its meant for speed not fight/defense and is a very fragile animal

  • Your all wrong the Hippo is at the top.

  • wow, finally the leopard can secure its hard-won kill. It deserves a good meal after all the troubles

  • ah, and in response to your 'leopards will never risk conflict with hyenas'...

yes they would, what they would never risk conflict with is more than 1 hyena, remember a hyenas power is in numbers

also, when you say 'a hyena pride may defeat a lion pride', i take it you refer to more often than not, newly established prides of perhaps 4 lioness's, and 1 or 2 dominant males; maybe perhaps a few cubs?

on average a lion pride will have 12+ members, hyenas will not mess with any lioness here

  • Even then, when the big male comes around, most hyenas bolt. All it takes is one bite from a male to kill a hyena.

  • lol I like this video. thank you!!

  • lol poor leopard, all the animals trying to take advantage of him, haha (except the impala)

  • incredible footage.

  • 0:38 FAIL

  • hyenas are cool!!

  • Sumanntur is correct. Hierarchy only exist in the same species. Hyena's for instance. There is a alpha female that runs the show. The Leapord could probably kill a hyena one on one but hyena's usually run in packs. The leopard is not going to take any chances.

  • leopards are the second most deadly animal in africa it's true, but they don't mess with hyenas as much because hyenas are usually in packs.

but i think leopards are very intelligent and won't fight a pointless fight.

they do after all have the most successful rate of killing prey.

  • it amazes me how most tree branches support a leopards weight

  • Beautiful animals leopards. Hyenas are very powerful and I think the leopard would be hard pressed to kill the hyena, but neither are powerful enough to deal with a lion. I'm glad I don't have to climb a tree in order to keep people away from my food! Mmmm... antelope.

  • Trust me. Leapords are stronger than Hyenas.

  • Nice.

  • Why the leopard didn't kill that filthy ugly hyena? I thought leopard is just one level below lion in the hierachy?

  • There's no thing as hierarchy among species

  • I think they are relatively equal, and leopards are smart enough to not risk injury in that situation. Sometimes if they are desperate enough they'll defend they're kill against a hyena, but they calculate odds and understand it might not be worth risking death.

  • I see your point. Speaking of which, hyenas really are not afraid of leopards or cheetahs except for of course the lions.

I always thought that leopard is the second strongest cat in Africa. Apparently, their competitors also include those annoying hyenas.

  • Hyenas come 2nd in the heinarchy of Africa with the Lions bieng the most dominant. Many times leopards will not risk any dispute with a hyena though a big male leopard is more then capable of taking on a hyena. But you have to remember even a clan of hyenas may defeat a lion pride, unless the pride male is there :] But hyenas don't fear the lioness even though they are 3 times larger then hyenas. Hyenas are very tough and I feel they are often misunderstood by the media and the people.

  • I don't get why hyenas aren't afraid of lionesses. I mean they are the dominant force that constantly hunt down larger animals! Sure big male lions got powerful jaws and teeth, but they seem too heavy to run fast. They leave all the hunting job to lionesses so that they have no room to develop their individual skills. I think for hyena clans, it's more of a psychological thing.

  • Well for whatever reason, Male Lions seem to be born with such a stong hatred for hyenas. They are born hyena killers, and at the sight of a hyena a male lion will not hesitate to kill a hyena. And I think hyenas sense this extra aggressiveness and hatred of a Male Lion. That's why at the sight of a Male Lion, hyenas will always retreat. Dont get me wrong hyenas are very tough predators, but its part of a Male Lions job to protect the pride from hyenas and other nomadic male lions.

  • hyena come in second only due to their extremely large packs

although i say second i only mean in terms of carnivores the african animal hierarchy is complex; see lions are at the undisputed top, but hyena packs would never try to take down an elephant or rhino as a lion pride would so does it mean in the hierarchy it goes lion, elephant, rhino then hyena?

hyenas do fear lioness's it takes many hyenas to overcome that fear, for example 2 or 3 hyenas would never dream of taking on 1 lioness

  • It takes several lions to take down a small elephant/rhino, you're basically giving them credit for doing what hyenas do, attack in numbers. And even a full lion pride wouldn't have the balls to take on a full grown African bull elephant, so by your logic, the elephant is the king of the jungle.

  • No it doesn't, several lions may attack a herd of elephants and prey on one. I can give you a video of this if you'd like? Of course lions prey on the vulnerable just like any other predator, however they are quite capable of taking down a bull elephant.

  • That "one" will likely be an adolescent who has strayed from the herd, and even then it takes several lionesses to take one down. Strength in numbers, sound familiar? Lions never dare attack a full grown bull elephant, who weigh between 10,000-12,000 lbs. They have no natural predators, and lions generally GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY at a charging adult elephant.

  • Yes of course it likely will be, as I have said lions just like all predators will prey on the vulnerable however there have been many cases of lions taking down adult elephants both male and female.

Lions of the Savuti pride have recently become notorius for this.

Lions are an elephants only natural predators.

  • The Savute pride is an extremely rare exception, and even they rarely go after full adult elephants. This hardly makes the lion a predator of elephants. Generally speaking, lions don't hunt elephants, and scramble like roaches at the sight of a charging elephant. If they're desperate they'll go after a calf, but again, this is an exception, not the rule.

  • It isn't extremely rare it is simply uncommon. I'm not trying to convince you that a lion hunts elephants all the time, I'm simply trying to show you how lions are by far the dominant species (apart from humans) wherever they live in Africa.

If they're hungry they will kill an elephant that is a fact, vulnerable or not.

Lions don't simply run away at a charging elephant, of course they move out of the way (who wouldn't). But they still stick around often harassing the elephant.

  • One pride has been documented hunting elephants. This has been described as a "fluke of nature' and a "phenomenon". Extremely rare might be an understatement. And are you seriously going to deny that lions don't cede their ground when the elephant herd comes stomping through? They do it all the time. The lions are the dominant predator in Africa, the dominant species is the bush elephant.

  • A 'fluke of nature' is something that happens once, many prides have been documented to hunt elephants the Savuti have simply become notorius for it

No, I have said lions move out of the way but they do not 'run away' Let me give you an example of what I mean:

    /watch?v=YOE4RzS7JPY

Now notice when the elephant charges the lion moves out of the way but does not run away. Clever, not fearful, to be fearful would be to run away however the lion does not do that

Lions are by far the most dominant

  • @MrFeatherr tbh humans are the most dominant

  • hyenas must be shot from their eyes

  • @lbj23clutch What the hell are you talking about? You said that a lioness is 3 times larger than a hyena. That's rubbish, a hyena can weigh just under 90kg and are at largest, 170cm body length, and just under 100cm at the shoulder, and lionesses only weigh an average of around 125kg, some weighing slightly less than 120kgm, and some can be only 170cm body length, with 105cm at the shoulder, that is only around 30 - 35kg difference, they can be the same length, and lionesses are slightly taller

  • @lbj23clutch Probably most beacuse of Lion King ;D

  • Because is intelligent and knows that if it fights to an ugly hyena and since leopards are stronger than hyenas, if this one bite its leg or some part of its body, the hyena easily would break a leopard's bone, so it wouldn't be able to run, to kill and therefore to survive. Hyenas have the most powerful jaws in the Earth and leo will prefer to keep out from problems and to find another prey.

  • hyenas do NOT have the most powerful jaws on earth

  • Well, I mean land animals. It is written and documented everywhere. If not, tell me please which animal is.

  • oh now you mean land animals. Well you corrected yourself, my job is done.

  • Yes your right !! The black Jaguar has the most powerfull jaws on earth i think :P

  • No, the jaguar does not have the strongest jaws, it also does not half to be a black jaguar.

  • They said pound for pound they have the most powerful jaws, so for its size its the most powerful, and if it were the size of a lions it would be even more powerful ect, doesn't mean it is more powerful then other animals, since its smaller then a lion ect.

  • well i already knew that, why are you telling me?

  • You thought wrong.

  • Go Leopard, Hyena and Lion is noob's :)

  • There's a fucking google add on this now?! -.- Go back to ur own site google. :p Nice, I'd say Panthers are my fave big cats. :3

  • 2:01 leopards like, "seriously?"

  • God this announcer's annoying.

  • Hyenas are such douchebags.

  • @Lanzivore no dey aint there actually very unique animals

  • Go leopard!!! Way to stand your ground against those two lazy pricks.

  • lol they mate in trees

  • i love happy endings:D

  • MATING IN A TREE

  • the lion looks so cute wen she is climbing down the tree

  • Then u really must like Cheetahs. -.-

  • ROFL you are so retarded

  • No,you moron. The fastest animal is the Cheetah...

  • Leopards are my favorite big cats

  • same here, and the most successful cats on the planet. Lions and tigers are in more danger of extinction

  • Leopards weren't hunted as much as lions and tigers. It has nothing to do with their success rate.

  • actually it does. Leopards coat is more beautiful than lions, and in my country, there's a campaign to save the lions coz they are in danger of extinction. This is mainly due to loss of habitat. Leopards adapt quite easily to change because they are so elusive and hard to find. It can live in your backyard without you knowing it. Lions are too loud and bulky. Even the indian leopard is more successful than the tiger, yet it too has been hunted!

  • If I were that leopard, I'd show some appreciation for the lion scaring off the hyena and share my meal. Then again, I am not into survival techniques. That leopard is very tenacious...

  • ReaperTwo2: I agree. Couldn't the leopard have found some way to split the meal into two to let the lioness have a piece? Afterall, the leopard probably wouldn't have done it (carried the meal up onto the tree) without the lioness's help, who was also after a meal. o: I'm feeling sorry for the lioness.

  • imagine if we were like leopards, we would have to carry a 200 pound cheeseburger up a tree

  • i doubt anyone would complain lol.

  • Leopards are bad ass, they are the most stealthy of the big cats, and most successful at hunting and keeping their prey. But I like Lions better.

  • XD :38 looks like it should be on failblog

  • The successful hardworking leopard is my spirit animal because it has to put up with parasites, like my landlord (The hyena) and the lioness (My X wife) trying to take what it has earned.

  • LOL!!!! Good one, dude!!! :)

  • @Maroon3224 lo fucking l

  • Sounds like the narrator from Pokeman.

  • LOL..that poor leopard LOL

  • haha oh yeah it is good to know that after all he could have some food lol

  • "Other cats like lion kills leopards" take that

  • TRUE, but leopards are still bad muthafuckers and have abilities that lions due not poses

  • Comment removed

  • Ya lol, the narrator is irritating.

  • I feel embarassed im too lazy to carry my food to the table let alone up a tree.

  • Oh yeah? Let someone come along and take it every time you aren't at the table, and you will LOL!!

  • Lioness Helped the Leopard! Lol, I laughed when the lioness went up the like, "Where is my share, just saved your butt here!"

  • No Feer

  • this announcer pisses me off

  • the hyena saw the lion and was like pease bitch

  • lol thats he/her treat

  • Why don't you copy and paste, send this to 9 other videos, hold your breath for 10 seconds, press refresh twice, and LOOK AT YOUR BACKGROUND. why don't you do that gosssshhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It here where they eat, sleep, even mate... I tried to mate in a tree once, it's harder than it sounds.

  • Rofl :)

  • i love hyenas soo much!!

  • 2:01, the leopard is like, you s.o.b

  • gota love narrators

  • an impala is soooo delicious

  • A Leopard, male that is, can stand it's ground against a Hyena. The Leopard instinctualy knows, that where there's one Hyena, more are sure to come. Besides the hyena's relentless tenacity and it's bone crushing bite, one of this animals biggest strengths is that it travels in large clans.

  • funny guy

  • That's insane strength to carry a Antelope[?] up a tree.

  • whats insane, ZanhiXX, is to hold up an Impala AND a hyena! If u look in the vid the hyenas feet are off the ground!

  • maybe maybe the leopard have no chance against HYENA "but a JAGUAR its a diffrent story because the JAGUAR is way bigger then the leopard yep the JAGUAR will kill the hyena

  • one hyena cannot take on a leopard, definantly not a jaguar. but several hyenas can. lions are hyenas biggest fear though.

  • I'm not a hundred percent sure about this, but aren't jaguars living only in South America, where there are no hyenas?

  • lol gota love hyenas
