  • i did way better with fruit than i did with vegetables:D

  • Oh i feel like Yoogeun in Hello Baby haha thank you!!

  • Is that really how you write cherry? Because I went to google translate and typed in cherry and 벚나무 this came up so which one is right?

  • @fani437 벚나무 means cherry tree.

and 버찌(beo-jji) means cherry but usually people use the word cherry since beo-jji is really different with cherry.

people usually use the word, 벚꽃나무(beot-ggot-na-moo) instead of 벚나무

  • @jh43jy ah thank you so much

    or should I say

    kamsa-hamnida! (right?)

  • The music in the background causes headaches and lack of concentration is supposed to sound Low voice FROM announcer

  • Ah, i just remember the words apple has the same meaning with apologize. :D

  • I really have a problem with pronouncing ㄹ. It's supposed to sound a mix of both 'r' and 'l' but sometimes I hear just 'l'... :( And to pronounce 'r' and 'l' really stresses my tongue. :P

  • @Soulacex 'ㄹ'is pronounced differntly according to where it is: when it is at the begining followed by vowel, like '라', '로',it would be pronounced 'r' like many languges such as Italian, spanish(ca'r'o, ve'r'o ), but if it was at bottom, it would pronounced like 'l'sound(minera'l', hote'l').

  • @Soulacex Usually, when ㄹ goes on the first part of each syllable such as 라디오(Radio) , it sounds like 'R'. However, when it goes to the third part of each syllable such as 물 (Water), it sounds like 'L'.

  • @koreanclass101 Oh, I see... Thanks for clearing that up for me. (:

  • @koreanclass101 this makes so much sense thank you!

  • @peacethrumusiq Thank you : )

  • @Soulacex if ㄹ is in between two vowels you pronounce it as "r" any other time it is pronounce as "l".

eg.) 사랑 (sarang) 딸 (ttal) hope this helps

  • I just open Microsoft Paint and these lessons then use the text thing and take notes then later I make individual documents for each word and find a picture that matches it like for 딸기 or strawberry then read it out loud with different emotions and voices lol. I also memorized Hangul in about a week. I'd recommend BusyAtomJ lol he's cool ^_^

    Thanks for the lessons!!

  • LOL Watermelon is 수박 but if you reverse it it's 박수 meaning "clap" LOL!

  • @D4L3TT3RDU1313LEU ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ^^

  • lol 5 out of 10 fruits have the same name that in english. and orange sounds prety similar, tho not quite the same.

  • @HASHlRAMA because those fruits are foreign and not from korea. whenever korea has objects that aren't from their country, they just use how it is said in english, french, or wherever that object is from

  • Learn to read Hangul it's very easy, took me less than a day like read and write in an hour?

Now I just need to learn some vocab :D

  • @namorisan

where did you learn it? please tell me :D

  • @IcelandHorse6000

    from videos on youtube,

you just need to concentrate on it

and you'll get it in a jiffy if you learn the alphabet and how it sounds you can read it but you might have no idea what it is but you'll be able to read it, and that's why you need to learn more vocab.

but you can do it ! :)

    korean is awesome!

    & I like it a lot lot.

if you really want to learn korean go to korea and I swear you will be speaking korean in like 3months lol

cause your body/mind has to adapt.

  • @namorisan - And grammar?

  • @namorisan are u serious ? please tell me some tips so that I can learn it. I'm suck now.

  • @namorisan It does take an hour to read and write in Korean, but can you spell properly? Most English speaking career braggers cannot.

  • Thanks for this one! easy :D

  • easy to learn most of them are english names with a korean accent lol

  • native Korean words gets difficult, these are just borrowed words.

  • needs the pronunciation spelled out in English, I would say.

  • @CupisHomines

There are multiple romanization styles for hangul, so it'd still be difficult to interpret even with the english alphabet. Some Korean sounds just aren't present in the English language. It can only get a rough translation. The best is to learn the hangul system. It's not too hard though since it is like learning the english alphabet rather than like Chinese where you have to memorize characters. There's some good internet sources to learn it too.

  • @CupisHomines You should learn how to read in Korean if you're interested in speaking Korean. It only takes a few hours.

  • @CupisHomines Hangul is very easy to learn you could do it in a day.

  • How come quite a few names in Korean are just pronounciation variations of English? I thought Korean was an older language/culture.

  • @x0Annax0x

Mainly because the words aren't native to Koreans, so they never made words for them, but instead of making new words, they just take the English words and say it using Hangul style to make it sound Korean because saying it in fluent english will not be the same as saying it in hangul style to Koreans because sound values are different in the hangul alphabet/system.

  • how do you write grapes in korean ?

    please help!

    thanks

  • 포도 (po do)

  • Hey! Does anyone know why sometimes you have to double the character??

Like if you look at the word for strawberry. One of the characters are doubled

    0:28

  • @SemiCharmedLife35

It's a different consonant in itself. Similar to ㄷ, but a little different because it is a tense consonant. You'll have to hear the difference to understand.

  • omg!! soooooooo easy!!

    if you understand the alphabet!

  • @ BreezyBrisbane...Hmm..you're clever....Then why click to watch?..

    Thank you ^_^

  • love korean!

  • What is the word for FRUITS please?!

    감사합니다~!!

  • It's "과일" (gwa il)

  • Thank you!! =*

  • nice video.

  • totally agree with the wibbly woobly stuff...his mannerisms are very Doctorish if you know what I mean. Still i will miss David. Not the style

  • سأرى الفيديو شكرا

  • 수박 복숭아 딸기 사과..ㅋㅋ 잘 만드셨네요^^

  • 감사합니다 :)

  • 응?망고? :P ㅎㅎ

  • At least there were 4 words to know.

  • A lot of koreanized english words, so it's almost too easy I think:( More pure korean words would be good!

  • Think of it this way: you really DID learn a lot of words because even though they were "koreanized english words", you may have not known what pineapple or cherry were before this video^^

  • @sang93kk Looks like it'll take forever and a day

  • @sang93kk Not just that, but this video is good for beginners at Korean spelling. I'm actually using this to enhance my spelling. There are so many people that say they've mastered reading and writing in Korean, but when you really check into it, there are spelling mistakes everywhere.
