@DJCheinez slovenia is part balkan, part alps and part panonia, however culture and blood comes from slavs, vends, and other germanic nations.. also slovenia wasn't never part of rome, it was just an ally, slovenia had the best iron swords in times of norik, slovenia is also the begining point of democracy (read the book Jean Bodin - Republic)

slovenia has mixed history affected by germans and communists, however we are related genetically more to nortEurope nations than any other europeans ;)
