The only 100% protection against pregnancy is abstinence, so unless you are abstinent then we have both made the same "mistakes" the only difference is the odds here in your favor because you didnt get pregnant. There are some woman who wear protection(even teens) and get pregnant. Whether or not they make the right decision to keep thier child isnt for you decide. You talk about people who have sex and get pregnant and yet that could have been you.
The only problem with your argument is.... most teens that get pregnant don't use ANY protection AT ALL or don't use it properly. Yeah, teen pregnancy is something that really saddens me. Some of the pregnancies I've seen are planned and some are unplanned. People should take time to think about the consequences, there is so much to life,even me being in my 20's, I'm still nowhere near wanting to settle down and have a family, eventually, but not now.

The only 100% protection against pregnancy is abstinence, so unless you are abstinent then we have both made the same "mistakes" the only difference is the odds here in your favor because you didnt get pregnant. There are some woman who wear protection(even teens) and get pregnant. Whether or not they make the right decision to keep thier child isnt for you decide. Yeah, teen pregnancy is something that really saddens me. Some of the pregnancies I've seen are planned and some are unplanned. People should take time to think about the consequences, there is so much to life,even me being in my 20's, I'm still nowhere near wanting to settle down and have a family, eventually, but not now.
While I'm not one to judge all teen moms, I will say this: Learn from other peoples mistakes and think for yourself! I did, which is how I avoided becoming a pregnant teen

The problem is not people having sex and having children earlier, it's the difference in the way people live now that requires them to wait to get married, we wait to finish high school, we wait to finish college, we wait to have a career and to be stable. These are good reasons to wait to get married and have children, but are also a clear explanation for the difference in the numbers of unwed teenage mothers.

People used to get married pretty much as soon as they hit puberty; they almost never had the CHANCE to have premarital sex and children out of wedlock. And since these people were married, no one cared or noticed that they were "young" or even really defined them as all that young. Instead of fighting human nature, they were working with it.

Yet she still lives at home, has no job, is forcing her boyfriend to take on a second one and is trying to get money out of the state for herself when in reality she can make it. I think you're saying some valuable things here...particularly that if you're adult enough to be sexually active you need to be responsible enough to protect yourself from the consequences. Of course, having sex can result in pregnancy; biologically that's the point of it, and ignoring that fact won't keep someone from becoming pregnant.
And yes, I think our society is pushing girls into seeking sexual attention at far too young an age too!

I'm 26 male. I understand where this woman is comming from. I understand that having a child is not a laughing matter it takes months and sometimes years of prep. Build a nest before have little ones. Procreation is NOT a privilage to abuse, selfish women and men have little regard for the Future of their child that is about to enter this world. Later the child will ask...where is my, affection, love, Food... A warm home.. a mom and dad that are there for you in your time of need.
