That sure is fucked up, the ban I mean. Just saw Chris last Wednesday in Jyväskylä, funny as hell. Comparing his act to Hicks or Carlin is just plain stupid. Comedy ain't all about making a point, it's about making people laugh, and there are about as many senses of humor as there are people walking the face of the earth.

After all, living is pretty much about having fun, and the occasional anal sex.

Unless the comics going up on any given night on any given show are told up front and given clear parameters on how dirty or crude they can or cannot be...particularly in L.A....nobody should be surprised if any comic gets up and does the kind of material Chris did. No one had the right to tell anyone to turn a camera off outside the club and whoever threatened him with, "I'll make you leave"...while he was outside the club...had no right to do that and was treading on thin ice re the law.

That owner who kicked him off the stage is a complete and total tool. Saw Chris Neff and the rest of the Monsters of Comedy a few hours ago in Hamilton, and they all killed it. This club should stick to booking hack comics. I think Dane Cook is more up their ally.

yeah, fuck this club. i got booked three weeks ago (they called me) to do a show last week, and the guy specifically told me it was not a bringer. then the show got cancelled and rescheduled for the following week, and i got booted from the bill because apparently it was a bringer and i needed five of my friends to show up and pay 10 bucks to get in (they also told me anyone who came for me would be $5, which was also a lie.) fuck this club and there 5 dollar 5 oz sodas. NIce set by the way.
