  • thanks :)

  • nice vid, but did you slow down the backing track?

  • For anyone that thinks grade's are hard, I will say from personal experience.. I dreaded taking my first grade, but it's no problem! Forget the nerves and play the songs you've chosen just like you do in your bedroom.

  • Are the grades difficult, i am new to this but I have been playing the guitar for a year, i'm pretty nervous.

  • @mexistratman1 That's one of those "how long is a piece of string" questions- if you're able to do basic open chords and melodies and have a decent sense of rhythm, Grade 1 should be about right. Grades 3-5 are music GCSE level, 6-8 count towards A-levels, although with varying grades

  • @mexistratman1 i was playing for less than a year when i done my grade 1 exam&i was very nervous. I have my grade 5 tomorrow and i've been playing guitar for 3 and a half years so far:L and after that i go straight to grade 8 :D

  • soon im going to take grade 1 you really helped me thanks so much

  • @101fattie that's great, glad to help, best of luck with the exam

  • @jmguitartuition thank you

  • nice video.

is this the general kind of stuff you need to learn for grade 1?

  • @bradgonewild - thanks! Yes, this is pretty much the standard, open position chords and single note stuff
