My band instructor told me that flutes use more air then tuba's . . . so times that by 2 or 4 and you get the air it takes for a bass flute ; ) and . . . idk what you times it by for the big one o.O

PS he also said not to tell the tuba players, so shhhhhh . . .

I think contrabasses run around 20 or 30 thousand, and basses can run anywhere from 2,500 to about 13,000.
