  • watch?v=5AHqsiVnKzw

  • i'd love it as a visualization in winamp

  • Am i the only one who can see a willy and 2 balls?

  • @technoxes LOL and boobies!

  • I HATE THIS MUSIC >.<

    UT should ban it.

  • interesting graphics!!

  • I wish to know who is the author of this amazing music??? anyone know?

  • Current track is Dreamscape by 009 Sound System

  • what was the original song that was used??

    anyone please tell me?

  • Original song was a DJ Snowman track remixed by DJ Fog... got repetitive.

  • Watching this video again years later, I have to agree with the majority on the music being annoying. Since this is high rated result for 'strange attractor' search, I've swapped the audio. I like it better.

  • agree with HyperBorealOperator, music is totaly lame.

visuals are pretty nice, i guess this is real time as you are doing it with DirectX.

  • The near-oscillation indicates random vectors that were independent of the system. Have you considered making the random vectors somehow a function of the manifold? I would think that it would reach more stable solutions. I would do it, but I don't have this kind of software.

  • um...i don't really understand what this is...but my last name is Lorenz! haha

  • @olivetree72

It's a Lorenz attractor and it works :)

  • art and math fantastic music blows ass

  • i love the varius sciences (and dimensions) and how the various knowledges about maths etcetra can be turned into appealig art.

  • sick music, sick physics

  • do you still have the parameter files that generated these?

  • I don't have the values of the parameters anymore, no. I usually just meander about in parameter space until the attractor is visually appealing (I fought the urge to say "attractive"). From there I enable the 5-space force vectors, tweak the magnitude of the random impulses and the restorative force until it animates nicely, and then start recording frames.

  • is there formulas for infinity! you should do the tesla equation and see what happens. its energywave= speed of light * cosecant(degree). put some random parameters into it and maybe something will happen! great videos! amazing!

  • lol it's not meant to be read as a strange "attractor" but a "strange attractor". An attractor is the name given to a set to a which a dynamical systems evolves to after a long peroid of time. A attractor is strange if it has non integer dimensions such a fractal (read about the Mandelbrot and his set), or if it exhibits chaotic behaviour which Lorenz's coupled system of differential equations did.

But yeah, it's pretty cool to look at..

  • artwork=

    ((wonderful computer)+(minder people))/(clear interpretion)

  • I wouldn't say it is love. I'd say it's something to do with consciousness.

There's really nothing strange about this. It is cool to look at.

  • The 5th dimension is love!

  • is it just me, or do you see the occasional nautilus design?

  • cool, the music is teeeeeeerrrrrriiiiibbbblllllleeee though,

    (and linear )

  • Agreed. It goes better with "The Sky Was Pink" by Nathan Fake (especially if the animation is slowed down...).

  • Pretty cool
