My parents and I had a stopover in that airport in 1998 and we went outside to get some fresh air and we saw so many Asians, that my mother thought we had landed in the wrong country lol. Nice to have such diverse cultural differences though, unlike where I grew up.

@Afroman2978 Hi , Thank you for the nice comment , I used to Live in Vancouver from 1993 to 2002 , now I Live in Italy again on the north west coast near Genova .

In Vancouver I passed my Childhood , and that is important for me .

From 1997 to 2002 (when i left vancouver) I lived in North Vancouver in Mountain Highway.

When I was there , YVR was one of my favorite places , thats why i made with video , infact three of these pictuers you see in the vid are mine :)

I work on the ramp at YVR and I never really realized how beautiful the airport can look.

I guess you never really pay attention when your busy loading and offloading bags.

I grew up as a kid in Delta, and now live in Surrey, right under the approach path of YVR. Watching the planes passing over and the airport itself is what gave me a passion for aviation. I've watched the airport evolve from what it was in the late 70's, to what it is now.

A few weeks ago I decided to go back out there again, since it had been a while, and I was rather impressed with the new observation deck. I had missed watching things from the food court back in the day.
