@gaffneygamecock1 as far a defense goes next year its a coin flip could be good or bad we have talent on defense but can clemson get a defensive cooridinator that can simplfy the game play and work on fundamentals. steele was using plays from his days at the carolina panthers and had 32 different versons of cover 2. these are kids they are in college and they have to pass theirs classes to play. they only have 20 hours a week towards football practice. steele made it 2 hard.

@gaffneygamecock1 the clemson usc game is going to be a great game like every year. this year our offense is great and yall defense is great our defense is bad and now yalls offense is bad. i truly dont think we will want to fire dabo because he has already done a LOT more than we thought we was goin to do this year. it also hurt us a lot not have ellington for us against gt. our fresh. backs had a few misstakes that hurt us a lot. considering our defense couldnt stop gt to give us the ball.

In all honesty USC has been down the road you are on getting all these big time skill players but you dont have no line at all on the O or D and you cant win without a line. If they don't start getting depth and quality on your lines yall are going to struggle. IMHO

@gaffneygamecock1 honestly anything is gotta be better than steele. but i agree his stats arent the best he had either 3 or 4 games this year where he allowed 40+ points in a game so that doesnt make me too happy. but he is a good LB coach. and this year i truly think i did not see a single good tackle by any of our LBers. but we did pick up 3 top LBers in last years recruiting. townsend, stewart, and anthony.

@gaffneygamecock1 but what can you expect from your defense when your head coach does NOT allow you to tackle during practice. this is the bs that needs to be fixed. steele was complaining about it after the wofford game this year. dabo only allows them to wrap the players up not take em to the ground. he is worried bout injurys too much and that is hurting our defense. it would be like taking batting practice in the batting cages at 35 mph. then only seeing 90 mphs in the game

@mbranbb I honestly don't think you guys are going to be serious contenders until you get a better head coach whether you promote CM or get somone else. As a long time Gamecock and living through the Brad Scott years. Recruiting those five star skill players and not getting a line to block for them hurts you more than it helps. I think something is wrong Dabo and yea that no tackling in practice is bull that makes your team soft. I hate Clemson more than the average guy its almost unhealthy lol

@gaffneygamecock1 but the 2 games we had our best olineman out was the nc state game and the usc game boyd couldnt even stand up let alone throw a pass. and that my friend is going to be our season next year with clemson losing 3 of their 4 dlineman and 4 of their 5 olineman. they have clemson ranked 5 on the early early preseason rankings. they go by skill players not the big uglys up front. but u can give your qb time to throw or open a lil whole for the rb your screwed.

@gaffneygamecock1 if im typing bad it cause im drunk. haha. dabo in my opinion is a great recievers coach and a great recruiter. he has done well at both since 03. i think he is in over his head as a head coach he truly does nothing but let his O and D coordinator run the show. he just sits back like a owner of a pro team and is happy to win and sayin the same thing as his coordinators do. he i think chad seems like a better head cch. but dabo has seen us to the conference 2/3.

@gaffneygamecock1 as far a defense goes next year its a coin flip could be good or bad we have talent on defense but can clemson get a defensive cooridinator that can simplfy the game play and work on fundamentals. steele was using plays from his days at the carolina panthers and had 32 different versons of cover 2. these are kids they are in college and they have to pass theirs classes to play. they only have 20 hours a week towards football practice. steele made it 2 hard.
