Not only did they not keep Franklin, traded Mays, passed up on some really good QB's this season.....only to reunite Andrew Luck with Jim!

Alfonso Smith is a great talent but SF shouldve gone with Blaine Gabbert. The 49ers are in a rebuilding phase on the offensive side and Alex smith isn't the answer. Gabbert wouldve been mentored by Jim Harbaugh and he would probably do well with Crabtree and Vernon Davis.

That will serve him well in the NFL, and he seems every bit intelligent enough to learn from the new coaching staff and overcome any of his perceived weaknesses. I think him and J. Smith could be a real dangerous combination.
