  • hi, this is great! even I'm a newbie to clo3d and daz, quick question, can we import the dress from clo3d in daz and apply daz dynamic cloth properties

  • @xcrabz Thanks for the comment. I think Daz dynamic clothing needs to be set up elsewhere. I did this by exporting an MDD animation into Clothing Designer, recording the clothing animation there and then using MDD to reimport that into Carrara, but I think this should work with DS as well (if it does MDD? not sure!)

  • @PhilW222 thnx for the reply,

ur right they use optitex. I found a tutorial on md2 website on exporting daz poses as collada or obj but whenever I try to transfer mdd animation to md2 the cloth simulation goes haywire even after loading the morphs. Is there a tutorial the way you did it cause it's perfect.

  • @xcrabz Make sure the first frame of your MDD export is the figure in default pose so that you can fit the clothing item more easily. This should then transition to the first frame that you want to see in your animation over maybe half to one second. I hope that helps!

  • @PhilW222 Thnx alot for ur help, I'll sure try it

  • doe you know ho you can change the sizes of the avatar

  • @papierenmario - When you import an avatar, you can select a scale adjustment, so if you are talking about the default avatar, you can re-load (Load/Avatar the program file called Woman_West) and set the scale to 110% or whatever you want.

  • @PhilW222 my english is not very good so let google translation help me out

Thanks but that's not exactly what I mean I want it more precisely measured. brb looking for a link Type this in youtube CLO3D Image Sizing I want that window open but you know where and how thankyou:)

    Maurice

  • @papierenmario I think the page that you are seeing there is part of CLO3D and not part of Marvelous Designer 2. The two programs are very similar but CLO3D has a few things that are not available in MD2. You could try loading the avatar into a modelling program to produce the body shape that you want? The above animation uses Daz V4 as the avatar and not the default.

  • @PhilW222 ahh ok yeah i have clo3d but do you recommend any modeling program ??:)

  • @papierenmario That more depends on what you are used to if you do any 3D modelling. I use Carrara, and Hexagon is similar and not too expensive as a modeller. Both available from Daz 3D.

  • @PhilW222 yeah i do have 3dsmax still learning though :P

  • @papierenmario I don't have that myself but I'm sure that will do fine!

  • @PhilW222 oo nevermind i don;t think 3ds work i tried loaden in the avatar file but he didnt saw it

  • @papierenmario Try exporting from MD2 as an OBJ file, load this into 3dsmax and move some of the vertices to make a new shape (but don't add or delete points or ploygons). Resave this as an OBJ file and then try loading this as a Morph target in MD2 - that should work!

  • Oh Wow! What it's all about! Very smooth.

  • PERRRRRRRRRRFECTION!! Iam a Motionbuilder Maya user but when I see such awesome Daz Carrara stuff I get envious.

  • Looks (and sounds) great!

  • Thanks for your kind feedback!

  • GREAT, GREAT, GREAT ! Fantastic animation. Your musical composition is wonderful.

  • Oh and I did the music too!
