what really boggles my mind is the songwriting... they knew it was a hit before it even came out. "Goodies make the boys jump on it", that's the type of shit I look for in music... is when something is so good you know it's gonna be a hit. I don't see that as much anymore. Music right now is a little insecure. Beyonce, Gaga, Nicki & Rihanna are the few women in the industry right now with confidence in their music.

I think a lot of it is because of poor promotion. The industry isn't pushing out new artists anymore, it's more of a... if you float to the top, you're lucky. They don't care to promote you anymore. Which I think is really cheap of them. Ciara got out there because left and right you'd hear people say "Look out for Goodies, this girl is gonna be crazy".. I kept hearing about Ciara in 2003 like who the hell is that? and sure enough BOOM.

I was in 12th grade when this aired Saturday Night March 12th,2005 on WGN,I programmed it while I was out my house.Minutes later, she was honored with he 1st award of her career,The 2005 Sammy Davis Jr Award for Entertainer Of The Year-Female & minutes later Best R&B Soul Or Rap New Artist & Got nominated 3 more times.Can someone post her 2 awards she won that night ? ,i liked it.
