Thank you so much for this request. I will stand by this as we should recognize Johns home as a heritage home for Australia. Any way I can help, let me know. I lived in this home between 1975/76 with him. Australia I may live now in Canada but now is the time for Australians to hold the truth about our great singer John Cave. @Tequila484 I use to work with John at Suttons Motors Arncliffe Sydney. He was at ruck detailer, I went and seen him a few times playing in pubs and clubs. I lost contact with him in 1992. He was a nice guy

I personally would like to make a recommendation to the local Municipal council or heritage society and have the house William Shakespeare' grew up in heritage listed in some form, this is genuine local history that should be recognised.

If anyone grew up with William or in Dulwich Hill around this period please post any stories or comments here as there are many who are intrigued and want to know more of 'Dully's' famous.

I am Dulwich Hill born and bred and am proud that William Shakespeare grew up literally one street away from where my mum and dad still are. The particular house featured is still in Kintore St and hasn't changed much however most interestingly the vision of kids walking past William's house features Dulwich Hill Primary, still under construction and surrounded by factories, all changed now.

During the time when the house was burning , John made sure he saved his dog DJ, That tells you something about a person. Any one that does this and takes care of there pet, is a genuine person.Believe Johns words in this interview, what he says we all must believe, I do because I was there with him through all this time .
