  • My friend, try and make one just using your knife... So if you ever get lost in the woods and need to survie you can...

  • Have you used it yet i bet it didnt last for more than one try

  • Nice Spear Man!

  • that would not work sorry

  • @spongyjakester Trust me if he moves to Africa he will learn how launch a spear accurately they do it all the time

  • That looks like a whale harpune!

  • hunting spear, yes, fishing spear, no. if you stand any chance of cathcing fish with a spear you need at least 4 seperate tips to increase the chance of hitting the fich and it not getting away, however as a hunting spear that is quits impressive

  • obviously he doesn't know his knots or he would prefer the rope

  • and where do you find this things in the wilderness! :@

  • good city spear to go fishing at your local park

  • Sits at a picnic table, and shows all the tools he used to make a pointy stick.

  • Really great stuff my friend.Do you think that spear would be suitable for Floundering.?

Anyway good video. Keep it going and can you do more videos.

  • find a stick with a thicker end, then when you make the barbs, they will naturally be made from the stick, then you wont have to worry about the hassels of installing barbs with wires or cheap plastic... as a result the barbs will be thicker and be able to hold onto the fish after you've speared it...the ones you already have look a bit too thin

  • Is verru nice spear so no hatin' round here.

  • how old are you?11??

you just have to know that this isnt a fucked Survival tool, bitch

  • does it work?

  • Lucky you kid. When I was your age, all I could use to make spears was my grandfathers knife and shoe laces. Now you can use a sog puppy, film it, put it on youtube and be proud you didn't use the internet (that was funny). Don't know if during 2012 or a little later, bur surely the world is coming to an end.

  • o really i thought it was indoor survival

  • thats more lik a friggin zombie spear. the point bigger than the fish would be

  • Son that's not realy a fish spear. That's an arrow. A fish spear has at least 4 points. Instead OF sharpening the end do a cross and split it open then sharpen the 4 ends it gives u better % at catching a fish

  • hey today i'm gonna show my new fish spear which is awesome^^

  • instead of using zip ties use pine resin :)

    its the natural glue :D

  • its a little big either... earlyer shark sized ;)

  • 1min 15 sec of it were pauses

  • @ChoppaMaster98 He could be talking about tha apocalypse too.

  • looks like ur dads an electrican

  • 2012 darn less than a year to live

  • @MHTCapcomfan Na, life will go on, our standard of living will change. Either through, War, or economic global disaster. Many will die I fear, especially in CITIES. You can thank governments for dumbing us down so much we can't even grow our own food and depend on the large corporations that FUND them. Try and find the documentary called THRIVE. Even if you buy it...like I have. There is hope for humanity, we just have to WAKE UP. Best to you and your family.

  • Thumbs up if u r watching this in 2012

  • Id take the tip to a smaller size so you can ensure a wide varity of fish no matter what the size.

  • looks good, but good lord man!, do you have to look on an internet how to sharpen a stick and put a wire through it!?

  • nice job mate. show us you catching something with it!

  • An idea... maybe fire-harden the tip... Great Job!

  • You should be proud of yourself, you managed to make a primitive fishing tool without internet. congratulations

  • ur a noob XD lol pound ur knife

  • Your spear would be more effective if you sectioned the point into 4 separate points and jammed a stick perpendicular down through the notch. This would effectively give you a multipoint spear head.

  • why are you all such haters? i would rather see young guys running around the woods playing with knifes and making spears and catching fish rather than growing fat and lazy playing video games. He's practicing skills that will come in handy. Keep doing what you do kid, maybe just revise your design.

  • show me you catching real fish with it.

  • i think the whole spear needs to be smaller to pass easy through the fish to the barb. I would make it with 550 cord guts and a tuff sapling for the barbs. And yes i always have 550 cord in nature.......

  • hey, i have the same knife, i love it

  • i will be using a spear that i made yesterday for alligator gar maybe like 5 feet gar hmmmmmmmmmmm im gonna need two spears

  • Great video!

  • You should all stop hateing and think no you can't find some things in the wild but in a well put together survival kit definatly.

  • u can totally find all those tools in the wild hahahahaha

  • Yeah....OK. This is a young guy who hasn't thought it through.

But still......Even though the thing was obviously shaped by tools, and he's talking about wire, plastic and all that stuff......

....The angle of the barbs are about right.

If he got to this point by himself.....it wouldn't take the worlds best teacher to help him onward.

"The best survival skill is teamwork"

    Anybody gonna help him?

  • what is the wire for?

  • >outdoor survival fish spear

    >uses zipties and other metallic tools

    >faggot

  • @Maper555 fucking hater. who gives shit how he made it. i dont know, maybe some people put zipties in their survival kits. i think its a pretty damn good idea.

  • @flawlzingrock im a hater for having an opinion, real nice, way to show yourself as the pathetic race of humans do, you cuntwad

  • @Maper555 look all im saying is that it doesnt matter how he made it. you're hatin and calling him a faggot because he used zipties, a knife, and a saw to make the thing. idk, im no expert but hmm, those sound like things i might carry with me in my survival kit.

  • @flawlzingrock look all im saying is that i have an opinion that is not like yours, and your saying im hating? do you not understand your flaw in that? and im pretty sure i said "making a primitive harpoon out of modern tools" or something like that and you got all pissed off

  • SOG's are nice

  • ya, you can find a saw and zip ties in nature...

  • @ChoppaMaster98 you could if you find a depo of rubbish left by some twats

glass bottles can be found all over woodland area good if you dont have a knife break the glass and you can knap it into all sorts of items like arrowheads

  • @ChoppaMaster98 yea you can all u ahve to do is travel to the land of zipties!

  • @ChoppaMaster98 learn about SHTF. this would be perfect

  • @ChoppaMaster98 its prep for the outdoors.

  • @trapperman9 Hay you copy and past this in the Youtube bar Ray Mears / WETLANDS Part 6/7 Your idea will work if you go thinner and feather the sides just a bit to make burs. No zip ties. lol

  • dat a beast knife

can u make a vid showing how to

  • yeah cuz u totally invented the spear didnt you?

  • good job!

  • Comment removed

  • nice spear, but the big square locks on the "zipties" won't pass through the fish to allow the barbs to hold. You might try cutting a reset into the knotch for the squar locks to fit in, then melt candle wax over to smooth. but nice job dude

  • nice job it probably wouldn't have snapped if u had used a hard wood and not popler still great video!!!

  • cool

  • Why do people care about the name of zip ties or whatever it does not matter

  • nice vid man, and pretty awesome spear im gunna try and make one when I get my Bear Grylls Ultimate Knife.

  • For the barb you can use a small tree limb that's still green and alive, it'll allow you to flex it into place without it cracking. Then tie it with the same and let it dry which will tighten it up.

  • Naw man they're zip ties

  • their called tie-wraps, not zip ties.... derp

  • @TheAnlistik You've no idea what you're talking about, they're zip-ties, I've literally got a bag in my hand right now and used em for years. Tie wraps are what you use for your garbage bags. Now take your garbage info and post elsewhere. Thanks.

  • @05TurboS2K I've got a bag as well, and it clearly says tie-wraps. But thanks for being a douche, it brightens my day.

  • @TheAnlistik lots of people call them zipties.

  • @charliepossenriede I do not

  • @TheAnlistik either way its not wrong for someone to call them a ziptie, im pretty sure they are even marketed as "zipties" alot of the time.

  • that is unrealistically huge, you trying to hunt whales?

  • wow can u make a vid on how to make the spear head

  • fire harden the tip

  • tip will snap easy.. why not just attatch the knife?

  • @LANDSBURGH what if your a dumb ass and loose the spear or it misses and floats down stream, then you've just lost your knife and your only means of survival, well done! o_o

  • @RSdrawings13 and you cant spear fish with a knife spear, since there is no barbs the knife will just slide out and you could risk losing your catch.

  • great idea

  • awesome indeed i spear a lot of fish your consept is good but fish have alot thicker hide then some think good luck i hope to see a video in action thanks for sharing

  • pretty cool lets see your spear in action now.

  • coool please record the fish spearing

  • COOL, BUT I WANT TO SEE IT IN ACTION!!

  • I love making these things I have like 8 of them.

  • the only suggestion i have is to make the barb closer to the point because if you were spearing in a creek then theres no way the fish would get stuck in the barb unless the water was like 10 feet and you spreared the fish as hard as you possibly could but anyways jood job keep it up and keep makin videos there good !

  • Wow cool invention.
