Wtf is Miyata doing jumping around, trying to imitate Genki perhaps? Looks like Miyata has no confidence in his stand up, I'm sorry if i'm being rude but that was too pathetic to watch...
@tldevilsh he's stated that he lost confidence in his stand up when he got knocked out by kid. i think he only took this match to try and overcome his fears.
im sick of Japan making all the mma fighters fight k1 matches, and the k1 fighters being all happy with themselves when they win... for once put a k1 fighter in an mma fight... have Masato fight Aoki, then see what happens
@mystisohorney Actually, they put MMA guys in with Kozo and other over the hill kickboxers to make the MMA guys look good. K1 still has a bigger following than MMA in Japan so they use these matches to give more exposure to their MMA fighters.
@paolo27th Actually they dont when they put JZ, Dida, Genki, and Kawajiri against Masato (who was definitly not 'over-the-hill). I know K1 is bigger in Japan, ive lived there for a year ad have followed MMA and K1 since its the beginnings, so I dont need a lecture on the socio-business aspect of things.
@mystisohorney Read again, I said "Kozo and other over the hill kickboxers". That probably does not include Masato I would guess. And still, Kawajiri became a household name after having his ass kicked by Masato on Dynamite while it did nothing for Masato`s career.
@paolo27th so who are the "other over the hill kickboxers" you are talking about? The ones Kid fought? Anyways, I just feel bad for wrestlers, grapplers, that are pretty much forced (because of Japanese MMA fight promotion politics) to fight K1. Its just stupid. Its like having a chess champion play a Mah Jong champion in a live televised Mah Jong match. Look at Kozo, he doesnt even look happy after beating Miyata, cuz he knows it is one big joke.
@mystisohorney Yeah, that`s the guys I meant. And Kozo is one of them too. Kawajiri got alot of publicity and earned a slot on NYE`s card against Masato after beating Kozo. I know it makes no sense for MMA guys to fight kickboxers and vice versa. But it`s all about exposure and that surely benefits the mma guys more.
As far as this fight goes it was probably another unsuccesful attempt to push Miyata.
@superfly000 wtf are you responding about. I "enjoy" and appreciate kickboxing and boxing more than most MMA fighters. I'm not trying to push an MMA vs Boxing argument here, and I'm not one to suscribe to that bs. In fact I follow boxing and kickboxing just as much as MMA. And as someone who has trained in boxing, and is currently in Thailand training Muay Thai, I dont need you bullshit. Thanks for the lecture dick

Miyata is an mma fighter not a kick boxer. Its like KID vs masato. If Miyata could use his wrestling, he would dominate.

@mystisohorney stand up is an art, learn to enjoy it and stop with the "mma" crap. mma is great, but keep your rants to yourself.
