@DaveZeman No, I'm playing in G. One of the few things I was ever taught was to finger the G chord so as to make transitioning to C easy, using the last 3 fingers. This has been a key to my success as a fingerpicker, and I recommend it heartily.

@corraleigh1 I never took any lessons, just knew I wanted to finger pick as opposed to using a flat pick. Learn the basic chords, learn to pick out individual notes in each chord, learn to pick out a simple melody. After a few years of that, learn to play whatever tune you can think. Finally, learn to think good thoughts.

I wished I had a neighbor that enjoyed playing guitar Christmas music. I play the mandolin and love playing Chistmas melodies or harmonies. The 2 instruments sound great together. My friends that play guitar are not into Christmas music. Your Silent Night sounds very nice.
