  • Reminds me of Courage the cowardly dog :o

  • i fell a sleep

  • That was cool! I really enjoyed that, thank you for a great upload!

  • I'm tripping balls.

  • This means a lot to me thank you so much

  • you are a lovely sitar player.... whenever I am too stressed, I go straight to my favorites and listen to this x

  • Soon I will have this on my iPod and I will listen to this while watching the sun rise while I sit on sand near the ocean.

  • I love sitar music, it calms me down :)

  • Maaaaaaan, so relaxing *__*

  • My brain instantly went to Muriel on Courage the Cowardly Dog playing her sitar music.

  • @Tigerstar0405 LOL, I remember that but only because of your comment. I immediately thought of the cute lady that was cutting my hair not too long ago (she was probably in her late 20s and I am 18 but she wasn't very curvy..so 'cute' fits) and she looked Middle Eastern. Then my music class that was a world music class (ethnomusicology) came to mind.

  • how did they put an echo effect on an aucustic instrument like the sitar?

  • @SuperSheo It could of been recorded then the effects added with a Sequencer or Audio Programme afterwards or live with the previous two mentioned or an effects pedal, or effects box with delay/reverb setting, even generic guitar amps have this function. From what it sounded like - I think the player was hearing the effects rather than them being added in later. Really love the sound of the sitar.

  • sitar music release all stress and anxiety from me and helps me fall asleep amazing stuff

  • @freezinghand I'm going to go there someday and it is going to be awesome!

  • This song is so calming and peaceful, my friend already fell asleep to it. :)

  • only one word can describe the ten minutes of all of that, eargasm :)

  • I'm an angry person.

Medication after medication cannot calm my destructive nature.

But I started listening to this when I feel the anger... I feel like I can feel the natural energy of the universe connecting me to all other things.

It all slowly fades away. The anger is replaced with self appreciating calm.

  • @kittylicker013 I have never liked taking medicine and still do not ( I am 18 years old). You need to live healthy to be healthy, it is very simple. Nutrition, exercise for the mind, body and spirit, love, family, friends, socializing. music, nature, etc. All this brings bliss and good health.

  • Good music bro. 40 seconds into hearing this i had to smoke. This is now my #1 song to get high to. After i post this comment, expect me to reset this song and tock up again.

  • @ortega9998 Indian music truly provides a wonderful experience while smoking, or indeed while not smoking. Enjoy yourself. I recommend to you the Beatles track, "Within You Without You" or anything by Ravi Shankar.

  • @ortega9998 agreed... i heard this for the first time when i was blazed out of my mind... incredible... i listened to it for like an hour straight... i only stopped cuz i forgot to hit replay again hahaha

  • very nice !

  • I love the sound of the Sitar ...and this is beautiful with the sea to watch too.

I wish I could play the Sitar...

  • thankz for posting this... spchlss :)) loved it ..

  • The way this Sitar playing is in this piece is almost like the Persian Tar in the Bayat-eh Tork Dastgah even with some background chanting. Good job!

Ocean is where life first arose on this planet, it is vast and encompassing, old and knowing. Dogmas and fundamentalism, ignorance, and dark ideologies will dissolve in its cleansing soul.

  • @PiroozAzDirooz Wow! Thank you!

  • sometimes i can't sleep at all but then i burn some insencse and listen to this and i go into my own world and i guess fall asleep thnx for putting this up dude

  • Awesome. Does anyone know of any good sitar-based artists? I'm struggling to find any....

  • Peace! :)

  • thanks

  • hi is your sitar tuned to C#? if so what are the notes of the top 7 strings i have no idea how to tune this thing!!

  • Who's high?

  • @DrShakesBALLIN aha im blazed as fuck

  • in love with this instrument

  • String instruments travel freely up and down continents and island hop carry the universal love for life and joy. Sitar ended up horizontal by the time it arrived in Japan and turned into a Koto with 13 strings. If there was a visible wall, whether it be religious, economic, political, ethnic, they will eventually all come down. The longing to fusion sounds and rhythm can not be stopped. Through the universal language, we are forever and ever ONE. Love you, freezinghand and Christian Tatonetti.

I'm currently trying to get an important term paper done whilst also going through a lot of relationship-inspired emotional issues and damn has it all been wearing on me, my resolve and everything ... this is like inspirational, gives me hope that I'll live through everything and be a new person once the struggle is over. free love man peace out

  • You are very talented, How long did it take you too get this good?

  • @GraysonPTV Thank you so much. I have been playing 4 or 5 years now. I study singing primarly

  • I like that beatles used this kidna style but the original indian sound is magic

  • Not only is this peaceful, but it also feels rather enlightening. I feel as if I know so much more about myself after listening to this. Thanks and great playing!

  • i am from pakistan and its nice to see such appreciation for sitar, my country is enduring hard times and doesn't get credited with much anymore, but we have some hidden talents, especially in music, and im glad to see it being represented here. (pakistan, india, its one in the same, dont let ppl fool you into thinking the two are different and hate each other, only the ignorant from both sides fight, but all humanity is united under one brother/sisterhood).

    peace to all.

  • @bqureshi390 That is quite a beautiful comment. Peace!

  • If pakistan and india were one then we wouldnt have two speerate countries today.

  • Its fills my heart to see a comment like this.. My best friend is Pakistani.. Its not till i met him we realize how much we are in common in our cultures.. Inshallah.. Things will get better.. I hope our generation can change things once and forever.. peace be with u brother..

  • @bqureshi390 Good thoughts. Thanks. . God gives gifts to every person, but some don't or can't develop them, or don't seem to use them the way God intended. The sitar is really nice, but Westerners have yet to really get into it.

  • Yes, bqureshi390..I like your comment very much. As you said...we are brothers and sisters. Thank you...Say no to war forever and ever. Say yes to Divine Love forever and ever. Amen....Sola

  • @bqureshi390 sure ...couldnt agree more, from India

  • @bqureshi390 yes dude you r true.india and pakistan are same both countries are in great need of people who think like you n understand what is humanity and what sort of bonding that both countries posses which no one can break.!

  • @bqureshi390

dude we feel for u guys also, but u have to realize that it is the people that make or break a country. Sure India is not perfect, but 63 yrs after partition its a much better place to live for people of all religions compared to present day Pakistan. It is now upto the younger gen of Pakistanis to rise up to your corrupt govt and military leaders who have been brainwashing u people into thinking that India is responsible for all ur probs.

  • @bqureshi390 i know a lot of people that think, Pakistan & India are different, I have had heated decisions with several people. Most of them are set on there way....

  • @bqureshi390 That is beautiful, my friend

  • im asking for a sitar for christmas. i am already a bass player and just under six feet tall, if that makes any difference. would you have any suggustions for what kind/size of sitar i should get, and how much i would need to spend to get a fairly decent sitar without going overboard? how hard is a sitar to learn?

  • Im a bass player too, I would like the same info if you get it :)

  • do you really make this music? i dont have words, its so beautiful. with this type of sound im able to zone out imagening myself on top of a windy mountain with an extreme peace of mind. thanks...

  • Yes I did! Thank you for the compliment!!

    :)

  • I've been searching for soothing audio such as this ^_^ thnx to you my search is over. Now I can favorite this.

  • That is so sweet! Thanks!

  • If I may put forth my personal suggestion, I think it would be fenominal if there were more tracks like this one. =D

  • Did you check my other videos? :)

  • I did indeed! :dreamy Sitar Relaxation Music!: was great also as well as the other great compositions. =D

I dunno, something about the sitar and the vocals in this track specifically calls to me. =S

  • Hahahahaha A screamer would be handy in here!!! >:)

  • I'm hoping to learn sitar. Just a matter of getting my hands on one first...

  • @MrRedtick

Ditto. I know sitars run very hefty pricings. But they're goddamn impeccable all the same.

  • Where does this water scene take place? It reminds me of Ireland! I feel so relaxed by the way, you're music is so wonderful!

  • Victoria BC Canada
