Is Paul McCartney the greatest songwriter of the so-called rock era (1956 to present)? Well, his competition would be John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Brian Wilson, Carol King, and Burt Bacharach. Bob Dylan and Paul Simon are probably better lyricists. Brian Wilson and Burt Bacharach were gifted in writing music. But, Paul has a little bit of everything. He is versatile, melodic, and is a fine singer to boot. He may be the best overall. If he's not, he's very close.
Anyone knows where was "Maybe I'm Amazed" performed?
