Kira is a better pilot but Wing Zero is a better mobile suite so...its a tie for both go down in a two episode battle leaving the moon no longer there

not only cuz of heero is not a raped-girl-like-crybaby but cuz heero was trained since he had the age to handle a pistol, his father trained him b4 he was 8 years old! and even UC fans like me knows that zero system is like 3 times SEED mode, it put heero into a higher level than a coordinator, the only ability heero is lacking is the ability of sensing the feelings of his rival, but to heero it doesnt matter just like IT MUST BE IN WAR!, neither amuro cared bout how char was feeling!
will i think kira should win.. because he have ability ..speed ..reaction ...also he is a super coordinator ... another reason strike freedom is more power than wing zero custom .maybe in all series of the gundam ..must people think hero wins because twin buster ..that's wrong ...
hero have many weakness point ...he can't dodge attack from many Mobil suite ..so slow when he attack...also
he is a human...i don't hate hero ...i like him ..and zero gundam is my favorite gundam...

also when using zero sistem he see every move of every target, before targets even do it.
WZ is fast, but the MS doesn't HAVE the insane Gs that the Tallgeese does. The reason why the tallgeese had the problem to begin with was because it was the precursor to ALL the MSs before it, strong but no safeties. The Gundams were made of top line tech so they didn't suffer from the same problem. Basically, there were Gs, but the Gundams were well protected. You didn't see any of the Gundam pilots barfing blood, only Milliardo.
@Machdude nope, zero is almost as fast as first tallgeese in neobird mode, milliardo putted his body into such speed as tallgeese's from a moment to another cuz he didnt tallgeese was THAT fast (thats what he is thinking while piloting it for first time) so his body suffered the consequences, after that he learned how to use tallgeese and his body getted used to it. anyway ur right about tallgeese problem and the way gundams correct it.
@Machdude i didnt made my self to clear, u r right the correct term is g-force, but what makes tallgeese barely unsuable is not its protection to g-force, remember that zechs went out of the earth with his mobile suit alone, the only thing that had the tallgeese was the rockets that helped it to get out of atmosphere, what made tallgeese so dangerous was that its SPEED was MUCH more than what a normal human body could handle even inside da robot.
Its speed isn't the problem, it is the priotection from the G-gorce that is the issue. The gundams do not suffer this because the protection exists. If they didn't, all of the pilots would be puking the moment after their first sortie.
@Machdude -_-u g-force isnt a problem for tallgeese it would have killed zechs when he leaved earth... remember that he used "naked" tallgeese to get out of the planet.
if Gforce was tallgeesee problem then it would have literally destroyed zechs body when using the rockets unit.

You don't get it. It doesn't matter what training they got, you cannot train yourself to handle prolonged pressure because the blood vessels will burst. i don't care what other stuff you throw in (largely irrelevant), it doesn't change the fact that the Tallgeese has nearly nonexistent G-protection. The reason why the other pilots did not suffer this is because they either were piloting a dumbed down suit, or the suit was already modified to shield the pilot.
@Machdude lets say tallgeese acceleration couse to much g force in one moment and the speed just keep it growing, is that good enough to stop this discussion? D:
As an afternote, you should check up on the research for the Tallgeese. Launching itself into space isn't exactly going above its max accel. It is actually safer to use for exiting the atmosphere than to use in combat.

Think i'd agree that Heero would win he may not have funnel equipment but there are lots of gundams that beat othe mobile suits without funnels ZZ vs. Qubeley RX-78 vs. Zeong Zeta vs. Quebely and so on though a match i would wanna see is the Nu Gundam vs. Strike Freedom though i would go for the Nu Gundam.

Better pilot, better suit. Kira's SF is much too fast to get hit by any of Wing Zero's long range attacks. Heero would have to go in close for some melee combat to stand a chance, thought I dont see Kira letting that happen.

@chowhongl that and Heero has had genetic enhancements to make him overall physically superior to any normal human at his age. Now it probably isn't as good as what coordinators are BORN with but still. It is something.
Zero system allows the pilot to ACCURATELY PREDICT opponents' actions. That alone would give Wing Zero the winning edge. No matter how fast Kira's response is in seed mode, Heero would still be steps ahead.
the video was ok i seen better thought. i dont know i think strike freedom would win. heero is cool but his piloting is mostly ok and the wing zero only has its tbr with 3 shots that are only good for long rong, not to mention wu fie beats him imm close combat or at least to a stalemate. freedom is more well rounded even more with kira piloting it. i dont understand this thing with him spamming beams, that just weapons him ms happen to have mind as well use them. he most be aiming them since

@negima47 - TBR multiple tiems without trouble. As for the fight with Wu fei? Heero was obviously not trying and was instead trying to talk his old comrade down. As was shown when he deactivated zero at the end of the fight. Heero has shown amazing skill in close combat when he fought zechs, who was in epyon which was made specifically for fighting close up. His beams are superior that SF's and the shoulder guns shoot gundanium bullets which alone would do a lot of damage to SF -

I already defused that statement. The fight was going evenly, though Heero wasn't even attacking at all just defending. Wufei did hit heero but that was when heero basically stopped fighting altogether to get his point across. Hell he didn't even use the zero system when fighting wufei mainly because HE WASN'T FIGHTING BACK.
@negima47 better pilot, the zero system, all of which would crush the friggin SF. Also how do you figure the zero is a weak close quarters machine? It is easily on par with the Epyon, which was created to be specifically used in close quarters. That says much for both the gundam and the skill of the pilot. Which both are far better than Kira and his SF. As for armor? the SF uses phase shift armor, which is heavy and is like paper when compared to what the gundams in gundam wing use.

Most of the time against mobile suits who has powerful weapons, i-fields, gundanium armor and an enhanced AI interface.

And his buster rifle while being in the Wing gundam can easily blow through an I-field. Seeing as Wing zero was able to when he split the TBR apart it's obvious that the Buster rifle can do the same -_-. He didn't "upgrade" to the zero. He stopped using the Wing gundam cause it sucked in space and used a normal mobile suit, the prototype "gundam" then stole epyon then traded

He is dedicated even if it cost his own life. Emotional feeling is also important it affects piloting skills.
@wildstriker128 wrong again i own the gw boxset and watching with my sister, and watching it now make me feel it was better when i was a kid, heero has trouble with zechs in the 1st episode in a torus suit, then right off the bat he trys to destroy the wg for no real reason. the enhance human and training dosent really mean crap. kira right in the beginning has to deal with a char clone and 3 gundams as strong as his own with no training and if i might add dose a hell of a job at it.

@negima47 Ya ya, Heero never lost to a normal human, an encounter does not mean you lost a battle, Heero fought numbers of mobile dolls without having any problem, which are better pilot than a normal natural or even a normal coordinator, mobile dolls arent afraid to die and has faster reaction time than humans, still though kira wins he is having trouble fighting normal coordinators.
Actually, the major weakness with mobile dolls were their programming, they lacked the ability to deviate, so if an anomaly occurred, they would not be able to deal with it effectively. Once that was found out, they were effectively cannon Fodder. There was also a strong tech gap, (the WZ was just that much better), so most of the time, Heero dominated not because he was better, but because his opponents were never his match to begin with.
However, following up on that, Kira was in pretty much the same boat. He was carrying an infinity plus one suit and he was thrown against the equivalent of mecha mooks that were SO last season. If he could trash them with the Freedom, he was untouchable in the SF. The reason why his skills seemed so peerless in SD was because his suit pretty much guaranteed that he was unstoppable in the face of most threats.
Considered on a level plain however, in terms of Gundam, they both have tradeoffs. A major advantage that the SF has is that it is clearly the more powerful suit in theory (calculating in series specs), it is more than double and possibly triple that of the Wing Zero. The Tradeoff however is that Wing Zero weighs less than a tenth of what the SF does. This means that on the level playing field they are about equal, because SF requires more upkeep, unlike the WZ.
@Machdude Well i dont agree, in specs, wing zero has gundanium alloy, it is only 8 tons compared to SF and freedom which are about 70-80 tons, which make wing zero a really faster and more solid suit than freedom and strike freedom, freedom uses fission and wing zero uses fusion, fusion reactor has a much longer lifespan than a fission one, so that would give Wing Zero the endurance advantage.
They both are considered infinite in a practical setting. i highly doubt a battle will last the months necessary to deplete a fission reactor. But as I said before, the SF's fission reactor's output dwarfs the WZ's by a considerable amount so despite the weight issues, it still has leverage. Not saying it is better, what I'm saying is that it is not a one sided issue.
@Machdude they are not both infitie, they just last long, but wing zero last longer, and how did SF output dwarfs the WZ, fusion is way more better than fission, also weight is a big issue, if a suit is much more heavier, specially 10x heavier, the suits speed will affect it.
Considering that, its up to the pilots and really, there is a bit of a problem here. The main thing is that considering the end of their series, Heero actually comes off as the better pilot, if only because of the Zero system. He's pretty average at best in the grand scheme, but with the Zero system, he could turn the WZ (siege range) into a suit that could throw down with a melee specialist. Kira on the other hand is actually lacking in that category and is too dependent on his guns in battle.
@Machdude well Heero fought mobile dolls using only a LEO, he even fought nataku using a LEO, he also defend a colony using MECURIUS agains wing zero itself, you can't say that Heero is just an average pilot and just relying in the zero system itself, ZERO SYSTEM only input strategies to Heero's brain, Heero still pilots the wing zero, its not wing zero that controls itself.
1- See predictability. They weren't hard to beat once their programming was figured out.
2- He still lost.
3- 2 Against 1, 2 reasonably well off pilots with one axe crazy one. Not really a contest here.
The Zero system is what gives him his edge to play against the supers. Without it, he's not very special. He's good for a human, but he is not exactly the best pilot by a long shot. In his case, he still needs leverage.
@Machdude I never said that Heero is the best pilot ever, i just said he is a good pilot despite not being a newtype, coordinator or even an innovator, he is a good pilot and a discipline one, he relies on his own skill, you keep on stating that heero only relies on the ZERO SYSTEM which does not provide you enough evidence, how can you be so sure with that, you don't know when heero use it or not.
Heero's greatest distinction is his ability to handle the Zero system with a semblance of sanity. His skills are good for a human. Since he has not yet fought anything that resembles a Newtype, his skill is dubious, but considering over his series, he would still require it in order to play the even game. He's not bad, just not Newtype level on his own. And you can see this distinction because his pre-zero system combat ability is none too amazing.
@Machdude So what if he hasnt fought any newtype, newtype only gives you ability to sense and high mental awareness, it does not make you a god or should i say does not mean normal human cannot defeat you, being a newtype might sense incoming danger or enemy, but does not make you better than a normal human like Heero, it depends on the pilots skills and the MS it uses, WZ>SF, Heero is a excellent pilot, he is trained and more experience than kira.
@Machdude You dont have to be a newtype level to be called a excellent pilot, CHAR himself fought with amuro while he is not yet NEWTYPE, NEWTYPE gives you ability to sense and not to PREDICT everything, Heero might not be a newtype but he is an excellent pilot, He is perfect in close combat computer hacking and MS piloting, adding up the ZERO System which amplifies his ability.
The Newtype ability is not just a sensing ability, it also heightens their reactions and capability to adapt. This is what makes them so adept as pilots. Heero is neither perfect nor is he superhuman. His capacity for combat and piloting is only the equivalent of what can be achieved as a human. The Zero system is what brings him to superhuman levels. Without it, he is still hyst a human. His skill is undoubted but he is by no means the equivalent of a Newtype.

No, i am simply drawing the distinction between the limits of his capabilities with those of a Newtype. What separates them is the roof of what they can achieve. Newtypes do not mean good pilots but their potential ability and learning capacity are much higher. In the grand scheme, alone he is not spectacular.

Without it, he would be somewhere in Kou Uraki's region of skill.
@Machdude Thats what im talking about, you think that amuro being a NT makes him godlike on piloting MS, Heero is trained years not only in MS but in different fields like computer hacking etc, you can't say that Heero as a normal but enhanced human is equal to kou or never have a chance against amuro who is a NT because Heero was never in UC timeline, but i can prove that a normal human can keep pace with a NT, Amuro and Kamile having hard time fighting CHAR(not yet NT) and YAZAN w/o ZS of AC.
When Amuro fought Char, Char was already considered an Ace Pilot, one who far outclassed most before him while Amuro was only weeks into the cockpit. Amuro was powerful, but he was still not skilled enough. In contrast, by the time he fought Char later on, his Newtype powers were fully developed, except he was now in an outdated suit compared to the Zeong. It pretty much shows how fast Newtypes are able to grow. Also to note, Kamille has never faced Char until AFTER he became a Newtype.
As I have also said before, whereas it took Heero years to train to become what he is, a Newtype is capable of adapting to it with ease and utilize it in many new ways. As far as Heero's skills go, he is pretty much at Kou's level, a normal with piloting ability. By himself, he would never be able to reach the threshold that Newtypes have. That's why the Zero system is his leverage. It is what makes him an outstanding pilot, especially when his opponents are all normals or drones.

You don't seem to get it. When we are considering experience, Newtype abilities are synonymous with the concept. Quite simply, a single year to a Newtype counts for much more than a year with a human. You can't separate the Newtype from Amuro because it is exactly what gave him the skill he had in such a short span of time. It means that it doesn't matter how much EXP Heero has, Amuro and by extension, other Newtypes and Derivatives are still better simply because their EXP counts for more.

Sigh, you really don't get it. The powers of a Newtype are inborn and it defines the character. You literally cannot separate the Newtype from Amuro because without it, there would be no reason he would be in a cockpit to begin with. The benefits of the ability is not just an active benefit, it also applies towards their experience and their adaptability, so it literally defines their piloting ability. The Zero system which is more or less a crutch, is nonessential, anyone can use it.

The point is he is not. As it has already been pointed out, Heero will always be a normal, and Amuro will always be a Newtype. You keep saying he can, but fact is he is not. That alone divides Heero as a pilot from Amuro. The key point here is simple. Sure Heero has years of training. But as far as the human limits go, he's reached the roof. He's not a Newtype and he never will be (thanks to the creators of course). I'd say, comparing him to Kou Uraki is quite accurate.

WZ is fast, but the MS doesn't HAVE the insane Gs that the Tallgeese does. The reason why the tallgeese had the problem to begin with was because it was the precursor to ALL the MSs before it, strong but no safeties. The Gundams were made of top line tech so they didn't suffer from the same problem. Basically, there were Gs, but the Gundams were well protected. You didn't see any of the Gundam pilots barfing blood, only Milliardo.

@Machdude nope, zero is almost as fast as first tallgeese in neobird mode, milliardo putted his body into such speed as tallgeese's from a moment to another cuz he didnt tallgeese was THAT fast (thats what he is thinking while piloting it for first time) so his body suffered the consequences, after that he learned how to use tallgeese and his body getted used to it. anyway ur right about tallgeese problem and the way gundams correct it.

Its speed isn't the problem, it is the priotection from the G-gorce that is the issue. The gundams do not suffer this because the protection exists. If they didn't, all of the pilots would be puking the moment after their first sortie.

You don't get it. It doesn't matter what training they got, you cannot train yourself to handle prolonged pressure because the blood vessels will burst. i don't care what other stuff you throw in (largely irrelevant), it doesn't change the fact that the Tallgeese has nearly nonexistent G-protection. The reason why the other pilots did not suffer this is because they either were piloting a dumbed down suit, or the suit was already modified to shield the pilot.

As an afternote, you should check up on the research for the Tallgeese. Launching itself into space isn't exactly going above its max accel. It is actually safer to use for exiting the atmosphere than to use in combat.

Think i'd agree that Heero would win he may not have funnel equipment but there are lots of gundams that beat othe mobile suits without funnels ZZ vs. Qubeley RX-78 vs. Zeong Zeta vs. Quebely and so on though a match i would wanna see is the Nu Gundam vs. Strike Freedom though i would go for the Nu Gundam.

Better pilot, better suit. Kira's SF is much too fast to get hit by any of Wing Zero's long range attacks. Heero would have to go in close for some melee combat to stand a chance, thought I dont see Kira letting that happen.

It's easy to determine who would win:
Freedom - Dragoon/multi-targeting System, multi beam canon, phase-shift armor, twin beam shield/saber
Wing - Zero System, gundanium armor, twin saber/TBR, twin shoulder canon
Zero system allows the pilot to ACCURATELY PREDICT opponents' actions. That alone would give Wing Zero the winning edge. No matter how fast Kira's response is in seed mode, Heero would still be steps ahead.

@negima47 - TBR multiple tiems without trouble. As for the fight with Wu fei? Heero was obviously not trying and was instead trying to talk his old comrade down. As was shown when he deactivated zero at the end of the fight. Heero has shown amazing skill in close combat when he fought zechs, who was in epyon which was made specifically for fighting close up. His beams are superior that SF's and the shoulder guns shoot gundanium bullets which alone would do a lot of damage to SF -

I already defused that statement. The fight was going evenly, though Heero wasn't even attacking at all just defending. Wufei did hit heero but that was when heero basically stopped fighting altogether to get his point across. Hell he didn't even use the zero system when fighting wufei mainly because HE WASN'T FIGHTING BACK.

@negima47 better pilot, the zero system, all of which would crush the friggin SF. Also how do you figure the zero is a weak close quarters machine? It is easily on par with the Epyon, which was created to be specifically used in close quarters. That says much for both the gundam and the skill of the pilot. Which both are far better than Kira and his SF. As for armor? the SF uses phase shift armor, which is heavy and is like paper when compared to what the gundams in gundam wing use.

Most of the time against mobile suits who has powerful weapons, i-fields, gundanium armor and an enhanced AI interface.

@negima47 he decimated an army filled with the same type of enemies while in the Epyon too. So don't give me that. And his buster rifle while being in the Wing gundam can easily blow through an I-field. Seeing as Wing zero was able to when he split the TBR apart it's obvious that the Buster rifle can do the same -_-. He didn't "upgrade" to the zero. He stopped using the Wing gundam cause it sucked in space and used a normal mobile suit, the prototype "gundam" then stole epyon then traded

All of which would be useless against heero because, surprise surprise, he isn't a newtype and so doesn't use the newtype weapons that kamile could mess with. Judau isn't only good because he is the most powerful newtype. He is good because he is a damn good pilot. Better than Amuro even. As for Heero vs funnels? They would be fodder thanks to the Zero system.

Hes far more than "ok" seeing as he was able to beat Haman(something Kamille was unable to do alone), and face onslaught of enemies in small groups or alone. Combined with his newtype powers(he is stated to be the most powerful newtype to exist by the creater of the franchise) he is definitely better than the 3 of them

@negima47 Heero is above normal, Kira isnt Normal, he is a ultimate coordinator, despite that he still lost to shin using only force impulse while he piloting a better MS which is Freedom, Heero fought zechs in a heavy arms with an arm injury, heero fought wu fei in only a LEO suit, Heero does not rely on ZERO SYSTEM, he often use it, and using zero system does not make you worthless, actually it makes you skillful because even good pilots like duo and others are having hard time using it.

@wildstriker128 wrong again i own the gw boxset and watching with my sister, and watching it now make me feel it was better when i was a kid, heero has trouble with zechs in the 1st episode in a torus suit, then right off the bat he trys to destroy the wg for no real reason. the enhance human and training dosent really mean crap. kira right in the beginning has to deal with a char clone and 3 gundams as strong as his own with no training and if i might add dose a hell of a job at it.

@negima47 Heero and Zechs did not even have a real fight when they are both entering the atmosphere, it was just an encounter, training, enhanced human and experience really means a lot, Heero is a lot better than Kira, Kira relies only on being a COORDINATOR, without that he is a trash, he don't have discipline like Heero has, Kira is not calm during a fight unlike Heero, also the three gundams that Kira fought isnt as as strong as his own gundam.

@negima47 Having SEED MODE and being ULTIMATE COORDINATOR makes you think that KIRA is a GOD, HEERO will not hesitate to kill KIRA unlike KIRA himself, with or without being enhance, HEERO is a good pilot unlike KIRA who always relies on being COORDINATOR. Without it KIRA is a trash.

@negima47 Ya ya, Heero never lost to a normal human, an encounter does not mean you lost a battle, Heero fought numbers of mobile dolls without having any problem, which are better pilot than a normal natural or even a normal coordinator, mobile dolls arent afraid to die and has faster reaction time than humans, still though kira wins he is having trouble fighting normal coordinators.

Actually, the major weakness with mobile dolls were their programming, they lacked the ability to deviate, so if an anomaly occurred, they would not be able to deal with it effectively. Once that was found out, they were effectively cannon Fodder. There was also a strong tech gap, (the WZ was just that much better), so most of the time, Heero dominated not because he was better, but because his opponents were never his match to begin with.

However, following up on that, Kira was in pretty much the same boat. He was carrying an infinity plus one suit and he was thrown against the equivalent of mecha mooks that were SO last season. If he could trash them with the Freedom, he was untouchable in the SF. The reason why his skills seemed so peerless in SD was because his suit pretty much guaranteed that he was unstoppable in the face of most threats.

Considered on a level plain however, in terms of Gundam, they both have tradeoffs. A major advantage that the SF has is that it is clearly the more powerful suit in theory (calculating in series specs), it is more than double and possibly triple that of the Wing Zero. The Tradeoff however is that Wing Zero weighs less than a tenth of what the SF does. This means that on the level playing field they are about equal, because SF requires more upkeep, unlike the WZ.

@Machdude Well i dont agree, in specs, wing zero has gundanium alloy, it is only 8 tons compared to SF and freedom which are about 70-80 tons, which make wing zero a really faster and more solid suit than freedom and strike freedom, freedom uses fission and wing zero uses fusion, fusion reactor has a much longer lifespan than a fission one, so that would give Wing Zero the endurance advantage.

They both are considered infinite in a practical setting. i highly doubt a battle will last the months necessary to deplete a fission reactor. But as I said before, the SF's fission reactor's output dwarfs the WZ's by a considerable amount so despite the weight issues, it still has leverage. Not saying it is better, what I'm saying is that it is not a one sided issue.

@Machdude they are not both infitie, they just last long, but wing zero last longer, and how did SF output dwarfs the WZ, fusion is way more better than fission, also weight is a big issue, if a suit is much more heavier, specially 10x heavier, the suits speed will affect it.

Considering that, its up to the pilots and really, there is a bit of a problem here. The main thing is that considering the end of their series, Heero actually comes off as the better pilot, if only because of the Zero system. He's pretty average at best in the grand scheme, but with the Zero system, he could turn the WZ (siege range) into a suit that could throw down with a melee specialist. Kira on the other hand is actually lacking in that category and is too dependent on his guns in battle.

@Machdude well Heero fought mobile dolls using only a LEO, he even fought nataku using a LEO, he also defend a colony using MECURIUS agains wing zero itself, you can't say that Heero is just an average pilot and just relying in the zero system itself, ZERO SYSTEM only input strategies to Heero's brain, Heero still pilots the wing zero, its not wing zero that controls itself.

1- See predictability. They weren't hard to beat once their programming was figured out.
2- He still lost.
3- 2 Against 1, 2 reasonably well off pilots with one axe crazy one. Not really a contest here.
The Zero system is what gives him his edge to play against the supers. Without it, he's not very special. He's good for a human, but he is not exactly the best pilot by a long shot. In his case, he still needs leverage.

@Machdude I never said that Heero is the best pilot ever, i just said he is a good pilot despite not being a newtype, coordinator or even an innovator, he is a good pilot and a discipline one, he relies on his own skill, you keep on stating that heero only relies on the ZERO SYSTEM which does not provide you enough evidence, how can you be so sure with that, you don't know when heero use it or not.

Heero's greatest distinction is his ability to handle the Zero system with a semblance of sanity. His skills are good for a human. Since he has not yet fought anything that resembles a Newtype, his skill is dubious, but considering over his series, he would still require it in order to play the even game. He's not bad, just not Newtype level on his own. And you can see this distinction because his pre-zero system combat ability is none too amazing.

@Machdude So what if he hasnt fought any newtype, newtype only gives you ability to sense and high mental awareness, it does not make you a god or should i say does not mean normal human cannot defeat you, being a newtype might sense incoming danger or enemy, but does not make you better than a normal human like Heero, it depends on the pilots skills and the MS it uses, WZ>SF, Heero is a excellent pilot, he is trained and more experience than kira.

@Machdude You dont have to be a newtype level to be called a excellent pilot, CHAR himself fought with amuro while he is not yet NEWTYPE, NEWTYPE gives you ability to sense and not to PREDICT everything, Heero might not be a newtype but he is an excellent pilot, He is perfect in close combat computer hacking and MS piloting, adding up the ZERO System which amplifies his ability.

The Newtype ability is not just a sensing ability, it also heightens their reactions and capability to adapt. This is what makes them so adept as pilots. Heero is neither perfect nor is he superhuman. His capacity for combat and piloting is only the equivalent of what can be achieved as a human. The Zero system is what brings him to superhuman levels. Without it, he is still hyst a human. His skill is undoubted but he is by no means the equivalent of a Newtype.

No, i am simply drawing the distinction between the limits of his capabilities with those of a Newtype. What separates them is the roof of what they can achieve. Newtypes do not mean good pilots but their potential ability and learning capacity are much higher. Heero is good for his own ability but he's still limited by the fact that he is still operating within the human capacity. The Zero system is a both an amplifier and a form of leverage. In the grand scheme, alone he is not spectacular.

@Machdude Well, KIRA alone as a normal human will never be even close to HEERO, AMURO might be closer to Heero if were talking about being normal human alone but still HEERO definitely is > to KIRA and AMURO when were talking about normal skills alone, as a normal human HEERO is a good pilot because he is trained and well discipline, add up being enhance genitically makes him better, plus amplification of zero system that makes him truly an outstanding pilot to keep pace with NT skilled pilots.

Ah, but that would be untrue since Kira was a Coordinator from the beginning and was well aware of his capabilities so he adapted well to the cockpit (which he customized for himself). On the other hand, Amuro's Newtype skill allowed him to adapt into the cockpit at an exponentially fast rate. This is what made them capable, the fact that they are able to assimilate into the role without training. The reason why they are considered good pilots is because experience counts exponentially for them.

You see, what separates humans from Newtype and derivatives is their adaptability. Heero may have trained all his life but it took Amuro only a few months to a year to be able to fully adapt into his role as a pilot. Throw in their inborn abilities, they far exceed what capabilities that normals like Heero can do. The Zero System is the notch that lets Heero fight on an even plain with them. Without it, he would be somewhere in Kou Uraki's region of skill.

@Machdude Thats what im talking about, you think that amuro being a NT makes him godlike on piloting MS, Heero is trained years not only in MS but in different fields like computer hacking etc, you can't say that Heero as a normal but enhanced human is equal to kou or never have a chance against amuro who is a NT because Heero was never in UC timeline, but i can prove that a normal human can keep pace with a NT, Amuro and Kamile having hard time fighting CHAR(not yet NT) and YAZAN w/o ZS of AC.

When Amuro fought Char, Char was already considered an Ace Pilot, one who far outclassed most before him while Amuro was only weeks into the cockpit. Amuro was powerful, but he was still not skilled enough. In contrast, by the time he fought Char later on, his Newtype powers were fully developed, except he was now in an outdated suit compared to the Zeong. It pretty much shows how fast Newtypes are able to grow. Also to note, Kamille has never faced Char until AFTER he became a Newtype.

As I have also said before, whereas it took Heero years to train to become what he is, a Newtype is capable of adapting to it with ease and utilize it in many new ways. As far as Heero's skills go, he is pretty much at Kou's level, a normal with piloting ability. By himself, he would never be able to reach the threshold that Newtypes have. That's why the Zero system is his leverage. It is what makes him an outstanding pilot, especially when his opponents are all normals or drones.

You don't seem to get it. When we are considering experience, Newtype abilities are synonymous with the concept. Quite simply, a single year to a Newtype counts for much more than a year with a human. You can't separate the Newtype from Amuro because it is exactly what gave him the skill he had in such a short span of time. It means that it doesn't matter how much EXP Heero has, Amuro and by extension, other Newtypes and Derivatives are still better simply because their EXP counts for more.

Sigh, you really don't get it. The powers of a Newtype are inborn and it defines the character. You literally cannot separate the Newtype from Amuro because without it, there would be no reason he would be in a cockpit to begin with. The benefits of the ability is not just an active benefit, it also applies towards their experience and their adaptability, so it literally defines their piloting ability. The Zero system which is more or less a crutch, is nonessential, anyone can use it.

The point is he is not. As it has already been pointed out, Heero will always be a normal, and Amuro will always be a Newtype. You keep saying he can, but fact is he is not. That alone divides Heero as a pilot from Amuro. The key point here is simple. Sure Heero has years of training. But as far as the human limits go, he's reached the roof. He's not a Newtype and he never will be (thanks to the creators of course). I'd say, comparing him to Kou Uraki is quite accurate.
