They were copying the original Dawn of the Dead (if I'm not mistaken)...but ya it was a little graphic in that part.

I'm not being harsh or anything but I just wanted to say that they weren't 'copying' it.

They were paying a homage to it. Or parodying it. The whole film is littered with references to other zombie or horror films. Eg. "We're coming to get you Barbara!"

But yeah, The title is a pun on Dawn Of The Dead.
