  • @xxXxMiSsMuSiCxXxX lol me too but idk i dont normally make those kinda dumb jokes -.-

  • @QuadKumsh0t lol me neither -__- (:

  • EATMEOUT

  • amazing!

i wish to she them live once...

  • amazing!

i wish to she them live once...

  • *creams panties*

  • he's so cool, he plays his trumpet sideways.

  • @cocopuff4567 It's not a trumpet, it's a rotary valve flugelhorn.

  • 1:45 ooh, embarrassing...

  • los amo!

  • why the fuck haven't i seen these people in fucking concert, fuck

  • Fryersmuck is just a troll trying to see what people are saying about his retarded ass comments, seriously guys... stop feeding the troll.

  • Also, Lulu is Scottish, Tom Jones is Welsh, and Bono is Irish. Sop definately a wind-up.

But honestly kudos to the guy on the fact he managed to get a few people dumb enough to take him seriously. Nice work.

  • I don't know if any of you guys noticed the fact he said 'condom', rather than 'condon'. Gives me the sneaking suspicion of a wind-up.

  • That song is from "March of the Zapotec"

    Viva México!!!

  • ZACH IS BRILLIANT

  • An different version of Goran Bregovic & Co., I appreciate!!!!!!!

  • Esta galera é demais ....adoroooo

  • Sounds Mexican....Mariachi inspired.

  • OH FUCK, really!? We have all come to listen to this amazing song... and there's a creation vs. evolution argument EVEN HERE!?

WTF YOUTUBE!? Please leave your self-righteousness behind and listen to the song. Evolution or creation- we're all here right now in this moment to listen to great music.

  • iloveit

    iloveit

    iloveit!!

! cant get enough of it! I would truly love to see him(them) live!

  • this is amazing.

  • I always thought The Shrew was written about Zach's love affair with CaShrew nuts.

I know he has a Large collection of them and also Brazil nuts and quite a few varieties of Hazelnuts

But why aren't the Peanuts Mentioned In this Song??

People have very Short memories and have Forgotten that when we evolved From Fish to Monkeys Peanuts were our Main Diet

That Is the Main Reason so many of us eat Peanut Butter today

In the scheme of things we are still Human Monkeys

Is that Mental or what ??

  • @Fryersmuck FRYERSMUCKKKKK! may i buy a book of just your comments?

  • @Fryersmuck Yo dude,...."evolved from monkeys"?? Not me pal. I was, (as we all were)..., CREATED. There is no more proof (scientifically) in (supposed) human evolution, than there is to support "global warming". Study your Bible,...all the answers to life (and death),can be found there.....Mmmmm

  • @speckman56 we don't directly evolved from monkeys, is a completely different evolutive branch. but there was an common ancestor, that's completely different. Study your biology book, the REAL answers to life are there, and more discoveries are in the works.

  • @speckman56 The bible is toilet paper, and creationism is crap made in USA

  • @oceangipsy71 Your thoughts (and life choices),are your own...

And I do enjoy the music of this great band !

    Nuff' said !

  • @speckman56 facts, not thoughts. And the band is great, indeed.

  • @speckman56 don't mean to be rude, but you are ignorant and you should probably read another book. There are great ones around. Some written before the bible and others after. Try to stay away from the religion section as it will offer you little but lies and fear mongering.

  • @Fryersmuck what you just said made no sense... i guess that was the point

  • @Fryersmuck Have you been to Yorkshire yet? I stayed there for two months, a total dream place! History is rich for sure. Was in Scarborough to be exact. If you have not gone, I hope you can some day. :-)

  • Can't find music like this in America. Its truly remarkable to hear people culturaly diverse come together to make this masterpiece. That's a lesson the world can learn.

  • @Surnameist He is from America.

  • World Music. Here it is not a question of who is from where. We are humans, not Americans, Italians, Germans, Turks or whatever. If we stop wondering about nationalities, which are one of our worst and arrogant inventions, we may will understand what life is about. Personality is what counts, not nationality.

  • no mames!!! son los mejores ojala vuelvan a Mexico pronto

  • There Is definitely a feeling you are Standing In Yorkshire England

Their Influences must be from that Part of their Birthplace

I would Like to visit them there and try and spot some Shrews

Zach Condom and Beiruit can be proud of what they have created and England yet again Produces another Great talent along with Bono, Tom Jones, and Lulu

I never thought I would Like this sort of Music but I have surprised even myself

It makes me dream of the First Person who Ran the three minute Mile

  • @Fryersmuck Zach Condon is from America.

  • @Fryersmuck bono is Irish..... never call him a cockny...please huge difference !

  • @Fryersmuck em sorry bono is irish lpease get it right huge difference...

  • @Fryersmuck em sorry bono is irish pease get it right huge difference...

  • @Fryersmuck Zach Condon and his band are American

  • @Fryersmuck Zach Condon isn't British, he's from New Mexico and Virginia (in America). Bono and Lulu are Scottish. Tom Jones is Welsh.

Sorry about bursting your bubble, but none of these people are from England....

  • @davieux haha that frustrated me too

  • @Fryersmuck Oh crap, just got trolled. Hat off to you, sir.

  • @Fryersmuck Zach condon is from New Mexico USA

  • @DavidGreef @Fryersmuck and Bono is from Ireland...

  • @Fryersmuck We wish Zach Condon was English! He's from the USA pal

  • @Fryersmuck I'm not sure what you mean. Beirut is an American band and Zach Condon is from New Mexico.

  • @Fryersmuck It's Condon not Condom and he was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

  • @Fryersmuck Zack is American, Bono is Irish, Tom Jones is Welsh and I have no idea who Lulu is or why this comment is relevant to the video and the top comment.

  • @Fryersmuck You are a flawless tard. Every scentence just laying more and more bricks to that solid foundation of total stupid you stand on to see the world for what it isn't. Coolbeans, man.

  • Beirut my lovely downtown :))

  • wow! God bless them for making good music.

  • that drummer has aids

  • Why are they called beirut?

  • @angelsaints00 beirut is the capital on lebanon, someone once asked zach where in the world he wanted to next visit and he said "beirut". it stuck

  • Haven't played my trumpet in 5 years and broke it out just to see if I coukd play this and one thing is for certain, I can still play! :D

  • did they release this on an EP?

  • @noapologiesnoregrets I guess it's on March of The Zapotec

  • great!

  • @Amandabearish ok. Will that be all?

  • @Amandabearish I want to punch you in the throat you retarded tapeworm.

  • @Amandabearish You're tasteless, rude, ignorant, and I would also like to punch you in the throat. Don't listen if you don't like it , it's pretty damn simple.

  • @Amandabearish Why don't you take your shit-mongering, mold a likeness of it in clay, convince a Greek god to make it alive, and then shove it up your fucking arse.

  • @hoiszhdfoifh22 Epic.

  • COME TO BRAZIL! D:

  • @filippokill YEAH! GUYS COME TO THE JUNGLE!!!!

  • God when the accordeon kicks in again, so awesome!

  • The drums ruin this. Far too pop for the feel of the song.

  • This song was obviously inspired by Ida Culhane, the biggest shrew in New York City.

  • Beirut is just awesome... I hope that one day they perform this and all of the songs of "March of the Zapotec" with the Mexican band live =)

  • These guys are AMAZING!!!!

  • Those are rotary valves... it's just a normal trumpet. A german trumpet.

  • @RedundanceBoy not serbian?

  • @RedundanceBoy

Nooo. Its a rotary valve Flugelhorn.

  • @Wevosman Has a very similar tone to a Kuhlohorn

  • This is just extremely fantastic. Shame of the drums though.

  • @Naudins shame on this post. the drums were amazing.

  • Done.

  • *-* lindo *-*

  • He always looks so excited when he plays. :)

  • i think he's playing a flugelhorn. could be wrong though. the other guy is playing a trumpet though

  • he's playing a rotary valve trumpet, also called a german trumpet. its common in eastern european and gypsy folk music, which is where he got his inspiration.

  • it is a flugelhorn... im pretty much sure of it!

  • y is his trumpet weird like that,

is it just personal preferance or there is a difference

  • is other wind instrument, like trumpet but different sound

  • i do like 1.18, without me realising a smile spread across my face

  • oops sorry, i remembered him, saw him once on david letterman's

  • ignorant indeed

  • very good!!!

  • He is perfect.

  • @bognitapl

i think he´s great just because he is not perfect.

e.g. i love his hallelujah cover though he forgot some lyrics ...

  • his voice sounds exactly the same live as recorded, I wouldn't have expected that just because it is such a quirky sounding voice, but I like it!

  • Thank you, Rachel Brice for dancing to their music and thereby turning me on to these guys. Phenominal asthetic. Zach's voice is like a long, complicated french kiss. <3

  • that thing about zach....is pure poetry...! nobody has said it so beautifully before and i yeah... are you a writer or something?

  • mmmm.

  • ohhh good i know, i love zach too, hes like the perfect guy lol his voice is absolutly amazing!!!!!!
