@ProfessionalTryHard because lyrics work like suggestions for things to think of....for example if your boyfriend left you and i say something like "he left you"...you will think of your boyfriend and how he left you...same thing with music...you hear someone singing "he left you" and you think of him.

the lyrics basically tell you a situation and you try to relate to it using your experiences.

a lot like "did you notice that floor?" you now thought of your floor.
