ohh I wonder if thats where my baby was born...its a 95tt..Im pretty sure they were all imported from japan on ships but you should wiki it conte..I wonder if they were taht happy when they were building airplanes to blow up pear harbor In WW2..i bet they were!!
LOL. Bet they had an extra "cheers" when they saw the planes do the job, but anyways: When you know how to build airplanes you know how to build cars! And Z cars are fantastic!
Yes, but they weren't just shipped to America. They were shipped to EVERY country in the world. Nissan is a global company, not just a Japanese company.
so it was there, that magical place where the most beautiful car ever created was born!!!! 300zx is so far my favorite!!! i wish i could be a proud 300zx owner back in the 90's!!!!
Contemplating my first car. I was so bummed when I found out the cars I really wanted like the S2000 or 350Z would rape me with the insurance rates even though I could afford to buy them.
Almost considered giving up and buying some lame Corolla or Civic until I stumbled upon this beauty.
This and the FD3S RX-7 has to be the 2 most sexiest cars. The only thing that sways me to the RX-7 more is the fact that they're rarer than Z's (in the U.S.)and they're curvier. When I was in highschool (1989-1993), if given the choice between losing my virginity to the hottest chick, or getting a chance at driving a 300ZX twin turbo: I'd rather drive a Z32 twin turbo 5-speed for 10 minutes than blow my nut in the hottest chick. Damm, the Z32 is a true classic. I'll buy a fine used example soon.
they should sell restored Z32 now...still brilliant car...keep these babies on the road...i drive 95 white non turbo in Japan and it still turns heads..cant beat a classic
Yeah it was supposed to be sort of a throwback to the 240z, you can see it a lot from the early prototype design. The final Z33 still has some of the 240Z influence if you look at the silhouettes.
no. this is false. and are you talking model year, or year of sale? cause the 90's were sold in 89 and so on... but they deff sold them thru 1999, just not after 96 in the USA.
u no anotha name for dyz car wasz the fairlady z n with twin turbo it had 300 horces w/o twin turbo it had 222 horces man i love dyz car it suksz dat it got discontinued
I wish they still made them. I want a brand new Z32. They should remake em. Same body type with newer upgrades and features...just more power and still twice as fuel effecient. Japanese people are smart..they should think of something. 350Zs are nice..but still love the 300Zs
That is the last US imported Z32 coming off the line in 1996.
The vin is a US Vin and the car color & interior is consistant w. the last known imported Z32 that went directly to a auto museum. The car is badged "last 300 of 300".
Jap ppl take pride in their work, they honore that car because it put food on their tables, here in usa i work for a auto manuf and all i hear is F this F that, thats the difference between a Japp worker and USA worker, taking pride in what they do.
Probably last production model for USDM since car was still produced for JDM until Y2k. In "98 they upgraded the looks with a different, more effective, front fascia & tail lights. This video brings a tear to my eye, I love my Z32!

i feel kind of ignorant asking this but are all 300zx's made in japan and then shipped to america
conte360 2 years ago
Yes, but they weren't just shipped to America. They were shipped to EVERY country in the world. Nissan is a global company, not just a Japanese company.
pman1018 2 years ago
yeah i knew it wasnt just america but i wasnt sure if they had a factory in the US for the ones that are here
conte360 2 years ago
Nissan has 3 factories in the U.S. for the American market: 2 in Tennessee and 1 in Mississippi. Sadly for us, none of the Zs were built in America.
pman1018 2 years ago 2
not sad because the quality would end up like the big 3.
racebredz 2 years ago 2
im pretty sure they weren't shipped to africa. they would just try to eat it over there.
rollingwith24s 2 years ago
@pman1018 Z32s were only shipped to Europe, Australasia and North America. Any that have ended up in other countries, would be private imports.
funkysi79 2 years ago
@funkysi79, that's true. Some people in America call them "gray market" cars.

Yeah but its thousands of dollars cheaper. It only cost me 2K a year for a first time driver in NY compared to 5K for a Mustang.

The title at the start should say Modern Classic 1989-2001.
It was only availiable in the US 90 to 96, but 89-2001 in Japan. Any one ever seen a 2001 spec 300ZX? DREWL!
