thought switching to this gps watch was better.it proves me wrong.after a month and a half,it couldnt b detected to my computer.came to a nike store,they said currently they cant do anytg as the watch only launched.nike has great technologies no doubt but it fails too quickly.from the sports band to this.it always fails on me.damn it!suunto and garmin for the win!
WHAT A WAIST OF MONEY!!!!!!!! , it only lasted two months then it had software problems ,,,,, and NIKE response was ,,,, At this point, it appears to be a hardware issue. Please try contacting your original retailer for your return/exchange options. Let us know if we can help in this process. From my personal experience with this this product DON'T BUY IT , go to their facebook page / nike support and read all of the posted problems people a having, Forget NIKE and buy a GARMIN!!!!!!!.
I happen to have the watch, and needless to say it does everything as advertised. The interface is great, I enjoy the simplicity of it all. To the people that say the USB strap seems easy to break, I assure it seems perfectly fine to me. As long as you're not bending the strap completely backwards it should be fine. A major problem I and many others have is not the watch but the website. There are so many problems and glitches with it, it is so slow to the point of almost being unusable, and...
@shaw4141 The feedback is horrific. Not one word from Nike on their forums or anything that announce that soon they will fix their site. I am disappointed that so much money is put into this system, but so little comes out from the company.
If you're looking for an easy-to-use gadget that records your mileage/pace/calories burned etc, than I highly recommend this watch
If you were hoping for an easy-to-use site however, might as well keep looking. Garmin might have a website that is maintained.
I wonder if people with positive comments even ever used the watch!!!!! Like so many other Nike products great marketing but lousy functionality!! The watch takes way too much time for finding a satalite and the battery doesnt last much longer than two hours. Too bad if you are not an olympic runner. Still many thing to improve before reaching level of Garmin or other products....too bad Nike. Missed again!
Just one thing: "After your run, plug the watch strap into a USB port on your computer, and upload your run info to nikeplus.com" (also it will charge your gps watch) -- Now... wait for this watch strap to break. I bet you'll pay as much as you paid for the complete set :) This may look awesome, but it's a huge flaw. ^^ Hail Garmin!
@StreetWise1994 Ya, you can link it to a Polar hr strap. I bought the watch about 3 weeks ago, and it's awesome. It's super simple and works great! Much easier to set up and use than the Garmin, and it's very small and light. I use it for triathlon training. Nothing works for swims, so that's moot, I have a great bike computer, so this is dedicated for run training, and is really only designed to do so, but it does what it does perfectly. No complaints... 5 star product.
@TomsMVP Umm it's not the same price, it costs more. And it's not even a watch. I don't see how the 2 products are comparable. The 605's for cycling and this is for running.
This looks awesome but is it subscription based or free to use the gps signal/ software ?? What's the battery life ?? Does it have vocal prompts like the iPod version ??
So many questions but I guess I'll have to wait until closer to the April release to find out
Why doesn't it track your foot strike cadence? If it still detects the sensor, it would be quite easy to count the number of strides you make per minute.
How can this new device help improve my running form if it doesn't even give such essential information? At such high prize ($199-$299) that feature should be included.

Is it waterproof and do I need to have Nike shoes?
TheTheneil 2 months ago
Someone please answer this question, I desperately want to purchase this fantastic watch but I'm a bit confused with this:
MUST you have the lil shoe sensor in order to use the full function of the Nike GPS watch??
schizonic101 6 months ago
@schizonic101 no
dandotreillydot42058 6 months ago
@schizonic101
no, with the gps watch, you don't need the sensor or a nike+ shoes.
The sattelite is tracking you all the way.
I hope it helps.
israelroseno 5 months ago
@schizonic101 You only need a sensor if you plan on running indoors where satellites are unable to connect
AlexMarbley 2 months ago
Watch is great. looks good and does everything the nike sportband does.
Negative things about the nike+ gps watch: can take 5-10mins to connect to satellite.
Website is 80% of the time down or not working properly eg impossible to log in therefore you can not see your run on maps.

I love how the paces shown on the video are wicked slow, but it looks like a dope product to use, most likely will get one
