SONY,as a consumer,we are really angry with you.I bought S series laptop 2 months ago and 1 month ago I took my laptop to service due to speaker problem.Now I am still waiting to get my new laptop.
I got the same problem. I see a bunch of forums where people think its the fan or hard drive....how dumb. anyways i think its' more of a software problem, cuz when i sleep it and wake it, sound get back. it happened right beore i watched yor video.
man ...you should hear mine,its loud,very loud and i cant listen to it at all,it takes over.i have called sony and they made it to my house,changed the speakers,same thing,its driving me crazy!!! NO MORE SONY FOR ME EVER!!! Definitely not hardware issue,its software
The sound problem that you have is not a hardware problem. I would recommend that you go on upgrade the BIOS Firmware and then update the sound driver.

My sony VPCEA1S1E mode had the same high pitched sound and it drove my mad. It was under guarantee so Sony repaired it free of charge. In the customer repair invoice it noted that a heat sink fan had been replaced due to being faulty. I think this is becoming a common problem, def sumit to do with the laptop's fan!
I have the same prob. Of course Sony deny there is a problem & refuse to do anything. I will buy a proper laptop soonest & it wont be a Sony - shame about all the money I have wasted.

Apart from your noise problem, do you think this is a good laptop for its money? I now own a Vaio FZ and I'm considering this one, but I must say I'm afraid for the 13 inch screen, because i watch a lot of films and series on my laptop. Would you recommend it apart from the sound problem? (and IF the speakers work, is their sound quality decent?)

Just made a program to make it quiet, works by using ur processor fully, u can turn it off or on when ever u want, here

reinstall evrything sounds to me hardware n software not talking right
dont restore to factory setting just whip hard drive and start again

It's a great laptop...good performance, bright crisp screen, nice battery life. A friend has one and doesn't have the sound problem.
