  • Is the audience consisted of graduate students or what?

  • BTW, is this the European ATV docked to the Orion capsule in the asteroid mission animation?

  • The students look almost brain dead. Garvin is trying so hard to make this interesting, but they are totally unresponsive. I wonder if their pupils would react to light...

Hopefully it means they're just stunned, because otherwise it would mean the future of the US space programme isn't very bright...

  • Thanks for the videos, but part 5/6 seems to have been removed from youtube.

  • @coil311 yeah where'd it go, damn stanford...

  • Such positive things! I am look forward to the future!!

  • if there is an ocean underneath mars there must be a lot of water, chalk, or a kind of oil at the vulcanos. the chalk or oil holds up the crust cooled down at the birth of mars.

  • Look interested students!! My eyes would have been wide and I would have had a grin on my face!

  • @Geeeeoheffeff

    What's wrong with them? :)

  • @MattHunX Nothing's wrong :P

I thought some of them look a little disinterested

  • @Geeeeoheffeff

That's the problem. They should be interested. Good presentation, anyway. Garvin has a sense of humor, too.

  • @MattHunX

There was not even the hint of a smile on any face when he tried to joke about a few people getting lost in Grand Canyon every year. Maybe they tried to look serious, like grown-ups are supposed to be, because of the camera...

  • @Rigo0Jancsi

Well, I'd like to think so, but a few probably were simply disinterested. A shame.

  • fuk neo!

  • Phobos & Deimos could be creating the canyons theory: The 2 satellite's where once a giant object that hit Mars a glancing blow, caused the canyon rupture, then broke into 2 separate satellite's. This could explain Phobos' strange structure.

  • I can make those animations, the models and astronauts are free to use on the Nasa site, great talk.

  • ¡ Infinitas Gracias!
