The Smell is run by a bunch of trust fund kids who don't care about bands but social status. New bands can't play there unless they have an "in". I find this bullshit.
this place actually smells thats why they call it the smell...........I used to go there when they actually had hardcore shows in 2001-2002 seen countless great hardcore bands before it actually started to get really smelly thanks to pretentious scenester stench......oh well this is still a great place they just need to book hardcore and punk shows again........they need better security so idiots wont fuck it up.....the smell !!! one of the last true DIY venues in LA

I really wish I lived in L.A Ive only been to the smell once and I saw Neon Navajo that was possibly the greatest show I had ever been to
