@dimmufan88 that's a game i would pay money for a new installment, even a 16bit version! Those were solid. I do not like turn based side view menu battles. Give me pieces to move and an actual battle field, if the game must be turn based. there was a game maker that was supposed to support that, but i think it got cancelled... please, someone, prove me wrong on this!

@OddeyeDL and for £19.99 you get a game that lasts half the length of these oldschool games....final fantasy games now have NOTHING in comparison to the oldschool final fantasy games in length. Mass effect can be completed in a matter of hours (roughly 8-10 hours) old school rpgs can take days (and im talking main storyline here not the exploration elements in them with secrets, which oldschool rpg's again beat they have far more hidden areas)

@OddeyeDL well considering there is no real incentive to explore other than completing missions, and mining materials for upgrades. Then what is the point of exploring in mass effect 2?? I had every single upgrade and still had planets left to explore, as for mass effect 1 it got boring an fast exploring planets only the odd few were worth doing there really was no incentive to explore to find an incredibly powerful weapon, or new characters etc.

@OddeyeDL oh and crysis 2 is still too short old schol fps games used to be ridiculously hard if they were short or they were absolutely huge and took forever to complete. Crysis 2 is neither is a generic consolized fps with a linear map design, im one that believes if your going to do a campaign then have no multiplayer (either sell seperate or offer as a free download), the whole disk space should be taken up by a campaign that way those that buy games for campaigns get their moneys worth

It IS really pointless to try to revive the Sega Genesis days to re-market them unless you want to play them for the PS3 or the Xbox 360. So, no. The game comes with a CD you can put on the Sega CD (if you have one) that gives it quality far better than what would be possible on the SNES.

Well apart from the obvious fact that the developers wanted to put this game on the Sega...

The Snes doesn't have the CD option either...

Also if developers want to stay true to traditional release forms, the small MD cart size and it's solid box are a lot nicer than those huge chunky Snes carts put in cardboard.

It just makes sense.

the games not done yet., and this is early in the games development. theyve changed a bunch of tweeked a bunch of stuff since then like the menus. and as for the sound there is gonna be a sega cd add-on disc to improve the audio quality.

I didn't know the Megadrive could push that many colors at once. Defiantly looks very Square SNES in quality. Kudos to the developers!

I wonder if they program assuming VFX chip support..and if not, I'd love to see what they could come up with using that additional hardware.

If I'm right, Megadrive could normaly push 64 colors at the same time. I don't think there is more than that on the scenes.

There are some very beautiful games on MD: Alladin, Beyond Oasis, Ristar, etc...
