  • Every time I listen to 'Secret Agent Man' it reminds me of Don Knotts cuz when I was a child my local affiliate Fox tributed this to him!!!

  • R.I.P. DON.

  • Thank you so much for posting!!!!!!

    Don Knotts is a legend.

  • One of my fav actors. One of the funniest movies ever made was "No Time For Sargents" Id say Don and Andy were the best duo in Tv history.

  • Comments are severely moderated isn't that special.

  • This man was such a talent...he was hilariously funny on Andy Griffith, and once he left the show, it was never quite the same. He is sadly missed...one of the few to come out of Hollywood who was a genuinely decent and talented guy.

  • Sadly missed? Is he dead? Please tell me he isn't dead..

I loved his performance in Herbie goes Monte carlo. It was the first part I saw him in, as a child of course. He cracked me up in that movie! :)

  • Yes Don Knotts is dead, died in 2006

  • Don was insightfu. But I have seen several interviews he did over the course of his career, and he always seemed somewhat uneasy (actually not too thrilled might be more like it) about doing interviews.

  • He did Ghost and Mr. Chicken after he left the Andy Griffith show. The movie came out in 1966.

  • What about "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken"?

  • Don Knotts made three films while still on The Andy Griffith show: It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World, Move Over Darling (with Doris Day and James Garner) and The Incredible Mr. Limpet.

  • @Ramubay limpet was the cartoon fish character he did the voice for

  • Great interview. Thanks for posting this.

  • I would like it if somebody uploaded the scene of his appearance in "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World"...

  • Don was very insightful and giving. A consummate pro.

Interviewer had the facts but was very lame. He asked way to many trivial and closed ended questions.

They could have talked more about Dons Movie Career.

  • I agree ... almost felt sorry for Don. I think they could have been a bit more cheerful and not simply asked a question from a list. I so miss Knotts!

  • These videos are much appreciated but the interviewer is not exactly easy to watch and listen to. His questions are rather weak and don't seem to make Don very comfortable. The interviewer simply states a fact or drops a name and relies on Don to supply a story or anecdote. A little awkward at times.

  • @JustinSosa This interview is part of a series of interviews with "TV Legends". The interviewer is not always the same but the same style of interview consistent throughout.
