The west are furious over Iran because they could not exploit iRAN oil resources which is one of the biggest in the world.They also have no control over Iran's central bank and Iran;s banking system,They also envy over Iran nuclear enrichment programmes that can inevitably make Iran into a first class developed nation with nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.Iran also pose as a threat to the oil and gas business supplying India and the rest of Asia .(pipe lines competition with the west)

The British were also involved with "Operation Ajax" also known as the "1953 Iranian coup d'état". But it was mainly the Americans. The did it mainly because there were plans to nationalize the oil.
