  • i got the same car like 5 days old. and my car is stock and pulls wheelies also. this is a great car veary well built. i hit a skate park jump with mine and it went like 20 feet in rthe air and come down on its rrof and flooded that it

  • is it stock

  • @MORTUARY44 almost.

Modified clutch and softer tyres- thats it

  • Nice! check out my vid. i made a wheelie bar for mine.

  • dude, my firestorm 10t will do a wheelie have way down my street, i need to start puttin vids up, great vid and awesome wheelies though

  • dude, my firestorm 10t will do a wheelie have way down my street, i need to start puttin vids up

  • woldent say this is the best on utube but its still pretty epic

  • @93DARIAN where did you se the axial 28? I dont have it :)

  • you dont need the race clutch to make this car do wheelies...mine does it for fun with everything *stock* running on 25% nitro fuel...all thats needed is the correct shock settings and a nice tune and it will pop them on demand :)

  • @karadale20 I agree. The race clutch is easy way to do this:)

  • @melas where did you get the tires from?

  • @melas i was looking online would the 17t clutch be abe to do this

  • @karadale20 is it possible to wheelie with 16% nitro fuel and what shock settings are the best????

  • @karadale20 i use mine on 16% nitro and it wheelies easy

  • my traxxas nitro stampede dose wheelies every time i move the trottle

  • how do i make wheelies

  • is this a good car

  • @rcdude747 yes i buy one 2 weeks ago and a LOVE IT ITS THE BEST CAR IN THE WORLD!!!

  • i tuned the middle/low speed needle that faces the rear suspension tower to be more lean from stock, this gave it more low end power and it wheelies like crazy from a stop/slow roll. i think it was about a 1/2 to a full turn

  • When you mention "sport clutch" where did you find it? I take it this clutch is aftermarket...

I have a Firestorm inbound. My Associated T4 and Losi XXX buggy give me my electric thrill, but I needed to get back into gas. Great vid.

  • @wyldediver cant remember where I got it from... I bought it online

But later I modyfied the stock one and It gave me the same results, so all you need to do is to make your clutch a bit lighter by drilling a few extra holes in it

  • that car and the jato 3.3 is the best for wheelies

  • i got nitro firestorm but i got a problem when i break it die. and i wont idle lol?

  • @hondatmx adjust idle

  • i adjust the idle clockwise and i do break it not die anymore but after i do a break and release still moving. any more tips lol?

  • dude u got an engine problem u need to adjust it, if it wont idle for 15 secs u got a idle problem and if it does but dies later than u got a lean problem, just search up how to fix it on youtube

  • @hondatmx just turn the idle screw in a bit and it wont stop anymore, i had the same problem

  • anything i can do to my suspension to make wheelieing easier?

  • I dont think so

Buy a sport clutch, it helps a lot

  • does the default firestorm do wheelies?

  • It does actually, but its not that easy

  • ill try my best to get it perfect

  • im guessin you got a half decent tune to achieve those wheelies?

  • you'll need to tune that thing nearly perfect to get that.

  • is this stock?!?!?!

I cant decide over a nitro or flux firestorm !!

    recommendation? ty

  • It has clutch modification and softer tires. Thats it.

If you are beginner I would recommend the flux. JUst charge the batteries and enjoy!

Nitro is great fun too,but you will need to understand how to tune it properly, otherwise you could have a real hassle

Some people find it very difficult to do.

    Good Luck

  • @melas

Thanks, i guess i am a noob but i like engines so i guess this is good practice

  • me too:) thats why I bought nitro and did not look at electrics:)

  • hey im gonna get one for christmas are these easy to tune?

  • easy...I've never had a problem with it

Easy to tune ,easy to start

  • NOOO firet these things go about 50mph and keep your temp around 200 its a 1/10 scale

  • Maybe 200 Fahrenheit ,but I was talking about Celsius. 200F is ~100'C

  • dude why dont you do a homemade wheelie bar with some wheels from small car, it changes a lot the length of your wheelies

  • you know that battery pack in the back?

if you are going to do wheelies, i suggest you move the pack to inside the body....it would get less scratched.....just a tip....by the way, awesome video.....5*

  • would you recommend any modifacations? or does it run well without?

  • depends what you want. To run it on a grass or on a gravel you dont need any modifications...

maybe just only better steering servo.

But if you want to do some nice wheelies ,some softer tyres and sport type clutch would be good idea

  • ok, kwl so if i was you take it strait out of the box it would weelie... mods will help that shouldn't it?

and also are these 1/10th scale or 1/8t?

    Cheers

  • when you said "best on youtube".....you meant it!

    great job mate

  • I dont know how fast it would go,35mph?

Average temp I would keep 100-120'C

  • how fast does yours go? and whats the average temp?

  • Those don't look like the stock rear tires, what are they? nice wheelies btw...

  • Thanks.

    Its Yokohama Geolanders

  • there not i hav one and mine a deffrint and mine wa an rtr

  • did u have to tune it to wheelie or does it just do it factory settings

  • you have to tune air/fuel mixture to nearly perfect and it might be not enought.

Softer tires would be good idea too:)

  • Ooh,the glow plugs is a different story:)

It depends on how good is air/fuel mixture and what glow plugs (hotter or colder) are you using.

If its way too lean the plug could blow in 15 min.:)

  • Really? nice! how often do you replace the glow plugs? is it still starting until now? or not anymore> coz this was 2 years ago... =D Thanks!

  • Did you ever had any problems with this nitro truck starting it up? and other issues? Thanks!

  • No problems at all. It starts like a dream

  • one of the best cars ive owned except for savage 5.9

  • YAY FOR METALLICA!

  • :))

  • yeah,I know its so fast.

    I have traxxas Revo now

  • i have a traxxas 3.3 engine in mine wheelys on demand realy fast bout 45+

  • about 35mph

  • about how fast dose this car run stock?

  • The tires would help a little bit,but do not expect too much.

Buy a racing clutch or lighten it yourself and your truck will go like a crazy

  • if i add the tires do you think it will do wheelies or do i need to buy ither stuff to?

  • what tires did u use

  • in this video the truck is with Yokohama Geolander tyres

  • hey i have a question the hpi firestorm and the hpi rush are like the same price, u have the firestorm so would u say its much better? i'm buying one in 2 weeks but i don't know which one to get i'm also thinking about the xtm x-cellerator

  • dont know much about the hpi rush, but I think both of them are similar quality

  • wow thats sick, i thought only the jato and the tmaxx 3.3s could do that but with a 3.o in it i'm not surprised

  • hey check out my irestorm video and tell me what you think i made it into a truggy type car.

  • can u buy a starter for it or do u always have to use the pull start

  • you can buy the rotostart from HPI

  • How long did it take you to break in your car?

  • it took me three evenings I guess

  • is that a 3.0 engine as mine is 3.0 but never done a wheelie lol. must be the fuel ur using. but im sticking with 16% for a while to make sure my engine is looked after

  • yes,it is 3.0

with factory settings it will never do any wheelies.

You will need to tune that thing almost perfectly to do that and still im not sure it could do it well.

I have had modyfied mine slightly -lighter clutch and softer tyres

  • if u get e firestorm flux it duz wheelies with factory settins and it is alot easier and faster

  • i know all about that. but its a neqw car its needs to left on factory settings that is rich to brake in the engine. if seems not too bad at mo. just has it times when it cant be assed lol. thanks anyways:)

  • hi. i just bought this car yesterday. its cool. y is it sometimes hard to start via pully and jams so i always have to release pressure? is it coz it keeks flooding?

  • yes,its hard to pull coz its keeps flooding. Just unscrew the plug and pull a few times w/o the plug and then try to start it again.

If it jams very often, lean it by turning HSN 1/8 turn clockwise

  • 16% or 20% nitro?

    is it pull start?

  • its pull start.. and 20% nitro

  • is it pull start?

  • what is the name if the song?

    Temperature something i guess

  • is the firestorm a good car?

  • good

  • Got a firestorm for Christmas, it wheelies with stock everything. I got 20% O'Donnell fuel, maybe that is what makes it pull up.

  • what aluminum stock parts does it have?

  • have a look at HPI website

  • minted car

what would you say the absolute top speed is?

    about 45?

  • Thanks:)

not sure,I think about 35mph,because it has a stock engine and gear ratio

  • have you gone through any engines on this car? ive gone through 3 of those hpi engines in 1 1/2 years. my latest engine failure was the bottom of the rod blowing to pieces and all of the pieces went all over in the engine. im about ready to dump this p.o.s into the trash can and get a jato to replace it. will prob get better quality with jato...

  • I have actually.

The engine failure was the bearing of the shaft(it caused the hole in the engine block)

And it happened in less than two months after the purchase. But I got an engine replacement from HPI and I sold my Firestorm after that.

    Now I've got Traxxas Revo

    So

  • is that stock?

  • It has modified clutch and softer tires ,that's it:)

  • is this car good im thinkin about getting it cos am sorta on a budget and if they are good are they reliable ?

    thanks

  • They are good and quite reliable for the price you are going to pay. However they are too soft for bashing,so be careful.:)

  • ok thanks :D (Y)

  • to soft for bashing? ive had mine for a year now and have only broken the left front arm and i stack 3 of those ten eaighty kicker ramps on top of each other, and go full pull off them everytime i jump it. ill get a video of it sometime!

  • Don't get me wrong:) It is not to bad for bashing, its just a bit to soft IMHO. Revo or Savage would be better.

    I've got Revo actually:)

  • adjusting idle wont help to do wheelies.

To do wheelies you'll need to adjust HSN & LSN preperly

  • gettin this car in 3 weeks, canty wait!!! gunna go bashing with a mate whos gettin a gs truggy.... madfun!

  • have a nice time!:)

  • good on youz 2!!

  • thanks bro!

  • how do u make it do wheelies (do u have to reset the idle?)

  • is it ok do run 30% in it? and also wil i be geting my moneys worth outa this truck?

  • It definitely worth the money you'll pay for it. IMO

    I would prefer 20% fuel

  • you got good taste in music my freind =D

    METALICA RULEZ!

Im thinking about getting that car cus the last one i had really sucked [generic brand =/]

so can anyone tell me is this car reliable to the point were it wont crap out on you all the time?

    please respond.

    thanks

  • Ive got this little beast for about 1 year and I havent got any problems with it,except a few small damages made by my fault. But you know...it depends on your driving style and skills. It could be smashed in first 10 min.:)

  • wow man this is sick!!! wut did u do to it so it can wheelie? i have one and its completly syock and sometimes it wheelies but not always, and nice rear tires those r the same ones i use for my mt2 (well yokohoma geolanders come with it lol) anyways nice!

  • i've answered that, just read from the begining:)

  • im running 20% is it safe to go up to 25?

  • i think 25% should be ok

  • how fast is the top speed on the firestorm??

  • about 80km/h

  • Out the box around 38MPH but they will go faster with hop ups and tuning, mines standard with tuning, and wheelies like crazy, check out my video :)

  • bout 40 mph

  • ive got one mate completely standard, ive run it in, and im running it on 16% going to 25% when this bottle runs out lol, what settings you running on, becuase mine not pull wheelies, its nearly there, it just makes the front end light and hard to turn but dont lift up, i also have a problem with it idling, it dont want to stay still, how can that vbe sorted mate, have you touched the clucth settings? and my brakes suck compared to your mate

  • ive never had a problem with it idling... try to adjust idle screw or richen LSN.

When its tuned very well it should do wheelies even on 16% but its quite difficult.

Im running it on 25% and it has softer Yokohama tyres and slightly modyfied clutch bell,or you can buy racing clutch bell

For the brakes you should buy a better servo

    Hope it helps

  • how do you the fucken wheelies, i have mine and is impossible, do you put imediately full trothle or what

    excuse my english

  • im thinking about getting one and do u hav to t une them often?

  • not at all! once you have tuned it goes pretty well, but for best performance you have to tune HSN each time you go. Its because of weather actually

  • i got mine but how do u do the wheelies?

  • you should tune it precisely,or you can go easy way and buy softer tyres and racing clutch bell

  • just clean the air filter and make sure nothing is broken. If any thing goes wrong with the motor u probably have to take it aprt.

  • How u get urs to ru nthis fast ?

  • i think it is not faster than other firestorm:)

  • Should i get it , I think ima get this RC as my first

  • How do u do the wheelies?

  • how fast doe your firestorm go?

  • it is stock,so about 35miles/h

  • the firestorm have breaks??

  • nice wheelies

  • thanks:)

  • how did u mod the clutch?

  • ive made it slightly lighter by cutting a few mm

  • is this thing stock?

  • slightly modified clutch and softer tires

  • i just got mine today and when i slow down sometimes it stops steering and shuts off i don't know why?

  • have you done break in procedure?

  • im gunna blow u guys off with me firestorm

  • :DD

  • thats pukka!! lol. i have f.s to what fuel u using pal. im using 20%.

  • ODONNELL 20%

  • nice. me using 20% byron. cen2.. u might be able to help me. when i run mine at topend it keeps on cutting out tryed richen lowend. tryed topend screw but no go any ideers. cheers pal.

  • sounds to lean topend to me

  • just put it(HSN) to factory settings and then try to lean it step by step

  • How are the geolanders? and have you taken them offroad, because I am going to buy a set because the stock wear down to easily. Next upgrade should be the high effieiency chrome exhaust! go to the hpi website and under the firestorm look for optional parts!

  • The geolanders are brilliant, especially on gravel, I have the soft compound but they wear a less than the stock ground assault

  • the rear tyres are yokohama geolander. I fitted them to my firestorm and it started to wheelie straight away, so had to richen the hsn to make it driveable. Any kind of mod wasn't warranted. I have much firmer springs at the back as stock are too soft, but this was before fitting the geo's

  • How do you modify the clutch, ive looked every where and i can't find out how

  • i cant post any pictures here, so tell me your email and i'll send to u

  • how do u put vedeos on you tube

  • in the upper right hand corner to the right of the search box there is an upload button try clicking that

  • is that a stock firestorm? I have one and it doesnt pop wheelies

  • slightly modyfied cluch shoe and soft tyres, thats it

  • thx

  • Did the same thing last night masher 2000 tires and a 17t clutch bell, had to back off the low speed needle for more control

  • yo i made an ally wheely bar for mine so it doesnt rip up the battery box, check out my firestorm vid.

  • nice vid, the firestorm is awsome. I have one too. also did u just lean the hell out of the bottom to do wheelies or is it just ur tires?

  • if you don't modify it, is it just a matter of tuning from stock to get it to wheely?

  • how do you put a clutch bell on.; i got one a min ago and cant get the screw off of the old one..how do u get it off

  • just hold the flywheel using a screwdriwer...if you haven't done it yet :)

  • k i will try

  • thats cool i got mine today i dont know how to break in the motor with the right fuel please tell me when you can

  • hi have you modified it to make it wheelie

  • yes i have... only the clutch shoe

it can do wheelie w/o modifications, but with modified or racing clutch its a lot easier

  • I heard that if you stiffen the rear suspension and tighten the slipper then it will wheelie easier too, haven't tried it yet though

  • what rear tires are those also? they look good

  • sorry never mind, didnt see 2nd page!
