  • This is not a song!!! get it right for crying out loud.

  • very beautiful images, it reached my heart

  • why?

    ...simplemente me gusto mucho!!!

  • Chills..... ♥

  • the sunset is so beautiful

  • wow ....i like the cello version even more than the one with someone singing...

  • Sehr schon!

  • This is Very nice, though I would appreciate if you allow the listener to know who the performer is...let's give credit where credit is due..shall we?

  • It's played very lovely...

  • Ależ to usypiająco nudne, dlatego ludzie nie lubią prawdziwej klasyki, a muzyka poważna to nie tylko sami klasycy i ich znane utwory...

  • this is nice! =)

  • Wonderful !!!

  • Excellent! Congratulations.

    You play beautifully.

May I ask what is the name of this place? What part of Italy?

    I loved its splendour.

    Thanks!

  • This is so very lovely. Thank you for sharing.

  • Bravo !

  • it´s so beautiful...so awesome....♥

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • beautiful.....!

  • Wonderful music

  • Amazing music

  • I´ve listen to vocal versions of this song. This one is just amazing, with the cello playing the vocal line. Good playing too. Thanks for posting

  • Fantastisch! Wo gibt es die Noten für Cello und Klavier??

  • was für eine wunderschöne Aussicht bei der Zugfahrt - Danke für Ihr beseeltes Cellospiel und diese Kombination.

  • there must be a mutual artistic approach of debussy and schumann, both captured the moonlight like noone else ... just listen to the first measures of mondnacht and clair de lune...

  • Admiration!

  • love it

    thank you

  • amazing cello!

  • Beautiful

  • The cello's just fascinating. Nice perfoming, matze1947.

  • the location is nervi, near genoa! i live in quarto (1 km from nervi) beautiful video!

  • Nice !! the chello playing the melody ! Always is great to feel Schuman's lyrics, melody and harmony to a complete listening of the work.. but your chello was so dramatic ! .. wonderfull ! it feels like the lyrics are not necessary..

    Thanks.

  • Peace

  • Great job! It's really romantic...

  • It sounds a little bit like the end of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" isn't it?

  • yes it does

  • Is this related to the german poem Mondnacht by Joseph Freiherr Von Eichendorff

Es war als haett' der himmel

    Die Erde Still geküsst

    Dass Sie im blütenschimmer

von ihm nun traumen müsst . . . etc.

  • Yes it is, originally it is a song by Schumann on this Eichendorff song.

  • no odvecccccccccccc

  • @clairbear1234

very lovely! But,' Mondnacht' means a night filled with moonlight.............;)

  • @clairbear1234

hello do you mind translating the German's language to English... i haven't had the change to study German but i would like to stare with this.

if you don't mind translating it. thanks for your time

  • I can send it to you as MP3 if there is a way to obtain your e-mail address. I have played and recorded it myself.

  • Oh would you? That would be so great! It's a beautiful piece, you did a good job with it =)

  • @matze1947 i would love to have a copy of this beautiful tunes, can you send it to my email too?

  • Hey! Where did you get this song? I've tried to put it in windows movie maker because I want to use it in a short film, but the mp4 won't work =(

  • i never heard a cello version of this before..it's very beautiful, thank you for uploading!

  • Schumann, così si scrive, razza di ignoranti!!!

    Sublime!!!!!!

    Schumanntica

  • très belle interprétation, bravo !

  • I am a lover of music Scumann, especially in this beautiful song.

  • thanks for publishing this song, i love it !

  • Schumann is right.

  • oh yes, I was wrong, sorry to matze1947

  • Well done. I think this film matches the music very well; both have a very strong serene/peaceful feel to them. Disregard what everyone else says.

  • The music does not go with the film.

  • The music performance is obviously far superior to the movie, but anyway I like the movie too; it's slighty slowed down, isn't it? this gives a sense of remembrance and of search of the lost time in my opinion (I don't know if I'm writing a sheer banality). Just out of curiosity, is the place Trieste by chance?

  • You have very good eyes, the movie is slowed down (the lengths didn't fit, but when I saw the result I liked it for the reason you write). I agree, the music is better, but this has a simple explanation. I have practiced music for more then 50 years (very limited due to my job ..). The movie is by no means planned, I made it from a train ride along the Italian cost (probably "cinque terra"). The nature was so fantastic that I heard "Mondnacht" in me ...

  • Yes, I have read in your profile you have always been practising music-in the other clip of yours it's so evident.I thought of Trieste because there is a sort of "Castello di Duino" at the beginning of the movie, and because the movie in general made me think of Rilke. Maybe you are a true decadent who happended to be a limpid Bachian mathematician too (I'm joking, sorry). I'll wait for the movie of your next Italian trip, maybe from Trieste to Venezia. Best regards from Italy, Antonio.

  • maybe you wanted to say Cinque Terre!!

great job this video is so nice and you show one of the best side of my country

  • @matze1947 The music and film work perfectly together. :) Makes me want to travel to Italy and the music is just beautiful! The combination creates stirrings of nostalgia.

  • gut gemeint, doch daneben und zwar in wesentlichen Teilen. Andere Musik wählen!!

  • I love the instrumental version, I might do a recording using it as a backing track if that's ok.

  • interessante

  • What a brilliant piece is this. Pure and sweet to the ear and excellent performed. Thanks for sharing it.

  • yes. the music stands for itself.

    but the video doesn't.

i think its a great work.

  • Why combining it with a movie? The music stands for itself.

  • wonderful

  • Bravo!
