I always thought the story of Noah was ridiculous ( as all tall tales tend to be, of course) and also sad; everyone on earth including all the animals die except for a select few.

This is pure awesome! A great example of the tallent and creativity that came out of the Disney studios in the day. It's still fun to watch after all these years.
It is interesting to me that they gave Noah a week to build the ark. according to the bible, he may have taken as much as 100 years to do the job.
The crazy rush of the building sequence is my favorite part, though. :)

You have to remember that most people were illiterate in biblical times. The ancient myths were translated from a dead language and then revised over and over for the past 2000 years. It's hard to take seriously anything that was "written" that long ago. These people didn't know where the sun went at the end of the day.

I always thought the story of Noah was ridiculous ( as all tall tales tend to be, of course) and also sad; everyone on earth including all the animals die except for a select few.
But I love the animation for this. It is really neat and creative.
I have to wonder why bugs are never included on the ark. There are some ten million species of bugs on earth. I guess nobody wants to hear a story about a boat full of bugs. That would be creepy.

By contrast, the Wyoming, one of the largest wooden ships ever, was built by the world's best shipwrights at the height of wooden ship technology as a US warship, with iron bracing throughout and the best 150 - 200 foot spruce. She was 350 feet long and promptly unusable due to warping and leakage. Noah's ark is a MYTH, folks.

is it because of the "sudden" explosion of new forms of life (by sudden i mean over millions of years) If evolution had been proven wrong then it would no longer be a scientific theory

@xkingcutx In the Cambrian you see all the body types come into existence FULLY DEVELOPED not developed over the course of millions of years. Despite what science says their is no evidence this earth is any older than 6,000 years. The oldest recorded writings in world history only go back 6000 years.

The case for creation has nothing to do with religion ITS COMPLETLY SEPERATE. What Jesus did on the cross is seperate!!!! @xkingcutx Hovind is a crook plain and simple for the actions he did. Despite that he was a smart man who was a science major and teacher...HE KNEW ABOUT SCIENCE and what was possible and wasn't possible. Discovery Institute is very helpful to our cause and they have provided great evidence for ID infact even PROOF FOR ID. They don't get into religious matters which is why the judge that threw out their case was bias and proofs my point that if you arent in with evolution your blackballed

A study of ancient history and new age religion is proof enough evolution is a manmade religion. It should come as no surprise that the ancients and up until the 1800's believed in a creator God and there is much evidence to suggest that the ancients were well advanced beyond even what we have today. @Imaginefree69 I have a political science degree with a monir in Criminal Justice. As I said earlier I have never followed Hovind regulary and only knew of his work from his youtube videos. That being said his work as a science major while in college asnd after as a science teacher gave him the right to talk about the subject. Yes he may be a criminal but much of what he said was true and made sense.

The fact is ID scientists are blackballed and can't get funding from the LIBERAL GOVERNMENT. The Institute for Creation research for instance has almost all of its research papers on its website for people who are interested to look at. They can't get them puplished because the click/scientific Liberal community blackballs them.
