Friday night, I saw a very large flash in the sky, then it flashed again, only it was a bit more dull, and smaller, and then it flashed a third time, and was barely visible then. After the third time, the flashing stopped. So I'm wondering if I saw a piece of the satellite, or if it was astronaut poop. lol Or maybe it was a ufo o.O

I saw the Mir station break up on re-entry back in 2001, and it doesn't move quickly when it's several miles up in the sky. When it came in, it was like a bigger version of a cheap roman candle and it moved slowly through the sky. The burning debris was closer together, but Mir was a controlled re-entry at an angled decent to carry it into the Pacific. The UARS is a big satellite, but it wasn't a controlled decent, so it makes sense to be scattered like that. It's not a hoax.

Like I said, the way the debris fell, and the way the debris looks in the video you're talking about, looked very similar. I would honestly say the video in question is not a hoax. You have to remember this was filmed on a cell phone (iPhone judging from the conversation in the video) not a camera with a 35mm lens. The bright burning chunks of debris are going to look like little points of light.

Check you facts. Tracking showed the satellite entering over Canada at about the same time the Canadian video what taken. UARS is in fact down.

Ok when it was above the central US I saw a two different streaks across the sky of debris entry but they burned up fast so either its already broken up and just a few pieces left or its just now starting to break up. I did not record them as they burned up in seconds. I cant confirm whether it is still up there or not. Its next orbit takes it over my house LOL I am sure I can confirm it being down or up by then.

Many people are starting to copy the video and re-uploading it on their channels. If the title or description states that it was recorded in Canada, flag it, and dislike it. It was recorded in the US on sep 22nd, the guy even says so in the middle of the video.

Yup first thing I noticed about the video was the accent. I didn't even think to look at the speed of the lights until you mentioned it but they were moving far too slowly to be raining debris from atmospheric entry. They would light up while going 16 thousand miles per hour and slow down to about 1000 miles per hour closer to the ground.

I could see it on the horizon at 9:30pm - 9:45pm I forgot what time it was but I was trying to setup my telescope. By the time I got it outside it was out of view. The thing is hauling some serious rear end. Probably about 18 thousand miles per hour. NASA has cut the feed on the thing but Im not sure its down. When it passes over NA again in an hour or so I will see if I can see it.
