They sucked live, except Lynch, it was a major let down watching them live, he is always off key and can't hit the high notes, but their music was great
I saw them in Springfield, MA around this time..........I remember Don swearing a lot, being baked, and laughing a lot.....thanks for posting........brings back fond memories!
Alot of complaints about georges sound on these live vids. But in the arena is the missing bottom end that does not show up here. Seen just about all the said greats from 70's, 80's, 90's, to present. "The ripper guitarist of his time". He had a sound seperation live that too discribe is like he was 220 volts and the rest were running 110.
I loved Dokken, they were my favorite band back in high school. Don Dokken is an awful front man. He doesn't know what to do with himself out there when he's not signing, and his stage rap is lame at best. I can hardly watch, and the playing is so wicked. George does this amazing sliding harmonic thing about 3 minutes into the song.
Supposedly this was going to be an official release, but when the final product was seen......

OK I Know You're All Gonna Hate Me, But This Performance Was Not That Good, Too Much White Powder. They're All Very Skilled, But Don and George Weren't On The Ball That Day.
Good o'l Don, takes me back and brings a tear to my eye. How that bloke got famous is beyond me, talk about wooden. Those stage moves would make the gayest man in the world cringe. At least he doesnt have to do em on the postage stamp sized stages he's now 'ruling'. AIR DRUMMING ... always a great look :-)
Both my wife and I like Dokken's music, it's got an edge to it and very melodic. Would love to have been able to see them live. They didn't come down under. The hard rock of the 80's still kicks ass. Thanks for posting.
After the guitar solo? He was teasing the whole way through! :D I don't know but for like the first 50 seconds, I couldn't focus my eyes anywhere but his tight black leather pants! And then I realized that Jeff was also wearing some very tight pants...gosh, I wish the men of today would take some notes and get rid of their baggy pants. :) We need more tight leather pants these days!
The backing vocals are above average, to be sure. Saw them way back in Springfield, MA. Don was laughing his ass off at something. Kick ass live band.
@raiderrich70 Steel Panther is doing a good job. I know it is supposed to be a joke like Spinal Tap, but the music is pretty good. Go listen to "The Shocker" by Steel Panther.
