Oval Beach in Saugatuck Michigan July 16, 2009

I live in Grand Rapids, about 45 minutes from the beach. I have a couple of friends who live in the area, so I am there about every weekend from early May until October. Rarely go in the winter. I didn't go much in 2010 since they changed the hours and rates. I also heard that they no longer have the hut for the private beach, and that it is all open to the public now. But, don't know for sure.

I was conceived in Hickory Corners - Gull Lake but born in Pasadena. Enjoyed a wonderful long trip to Pasadena, CA. as a small fetus in Dad`s 1937 Chevy! Planning a 2011 trip to Western Michigan and maybe I will see you in Saugatuck.

@WoofyGreg Live in Iowa . 300 miles away from here. Have been to Saugatuck many times since about the age of 20. Probably 30 or 40. Matter of fact next weekend driving 300 miles each way to spend the day up there. Congrats on making it all the way to Pasadena,must have been exhausting.
